Re: Window Replacement - Nivarro Residence, 9940S. Ocean Dr., Unit # 508, Jensen
Beach, FL 34957
Dear Mr.LaPrade;
I have reviewed the required wind load requirements for the replacement window at the above
referenced location. I have prepared the following report for your use.
The replacement window is PGT SH5000 (Single Hung 5500) with NOA No. 20-0401.03. The
provided allowable design pressures are +70 psf and -I 10 psf.
The window has a masonry opening of 37.75" x 50.625" or 1,911.1 sq. inches or 13.3 square
feet. The applied required design pressures for a 10 square foot (conservative) opening (per the
attached Wind Load Calculator) are hi -lighted in the table. The required applied design
pressures are +/- 59.1 psf.
This window is more than adequate to withstand the expected pressures and meets or exceeds the
requirements of the 2020 Florida Building Code (FBQ 6"' Edition and ASCE 7-16. If you
have any questions or concerns, or if I can be of any future service, please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Respectfully submitted,
