HomeMy WebLinkAboutLetter - Revised FeesPeter Jones Tom: Peter Jones Sent: Wednesday, April 27, 2016 9:15 AM To: Mark Satterlee Cc: Leslie Olson Subject: ISLAMORADA IMPACT FEES Mark, Wanted to let you know that we've come up with an alternate way of calculating the area (the 'retail' area) for calculating the impact fees. I can explain how in greater detail at your convenience. Point is that we can reduce the fees by 26%: Current Fees (includes deduct for impact fees already in place): $10,357.00 Impact Fees $ 1,163.76 Permit Fees $11,520.76 Total (payment to release permit) Revised Fees (includes deduct for impact fees already in place): $ 7,380.56 Impact Fees 1,163.76 Permit Fees Jf44.32 Total (payment to release permit) $2,976.44 delta (26%) decrease in total fees . This affords the opportunity to (logically) reduce the impact fees by one -quarter without eliminating them altogether. Of course we will also be able to provide JGiG funding and ad valorem tax abatement as well. I believe this constitutes a very positive incentive approach on the County's part. We'll see how it goes with FPUA. Pi Peter W. Jones, A.I.A.
