Job Site Reauirements
Phase 1: Structural Steel Package Installation
1) All permits and inspections are to be arranged and obtained by others unless otherwise stated in
Steeltec's signed contract.
2) Any changes to the dimensions on the drawings shall be reported to Steeltec prior to fabrication.
Any and all final dimensions and elevations of the building, foundations, conduit and drainage must be
verified and reported back to Steeltec via fax prior to fabrication.
3) Entry area to site is to allow for tractor -trailer (Total length up to 80'-0") to approach within 400'
of installation area. Access lane to be able to support up to 55,000 Ibs truck weight. Any concrete or
asphalt poured prior to Steeltec's arrival must have had ample time to cure and be able to support the
trucks, trailers, and cranes. Trucks cannot be unloaded in public street.
4) A laydown staging space is required for the steel. Area to be within 250' of canopy install area. At
least 35' x 100' to be provided. Access lane from laydown area to work area to be wide enough and
clear for safe movement of steel with firm support of loads
5) Footings are to be stripped of all forms by GC prior to beginning of Steeltec's installation. Verify all
nuts and washers are present. Replace any missing items or notify Steeltec before arrival. ensure the
anchor bolts are free of any concrete or debris and coat the anchor bolts with oil to prevent rust. Verify
proper spacing and location of bolts. Verify bolts are straight and plumb. Any water in the footing area

6) A 15' clear, level, and compacted lane required around at least three sides of finished canopy
perimeter for lifts and equipment for erecting steel. Center lanes between islands at same elevation as
perimeter and wide enough for equipment and lifts required. Oversized footer holes encroaching on
center lanes to be avoided. No open trenches in work area.
7) provide (2) 120-volt electrical outlets within 100 If of the clear installation area for use by Steeltec
crews.

Phase Canopy 2: Cano Balance Installation

11) Laydown/staging area for factory finished sheet metal required. Area to be 25' x 60' minimum,
clean and smooth. Area to be within 50' of canopy, tank slab good option.
12) A 6' wide clear area around entire canopy slab perimeter to have compacted, stable base within 2"
vertical height of finish slab is required.
13) Poured concrete under canopy is to be for storage of materials and work space for Steeltec crews
only during balance installation.
14) For double stack canopies a 50 ton hydraulic crane is required to place the roof deck panels. A
work area and setup space for the crane is required on one long side of the canopy.
15) No overhead electrical wires are to be in the clear installation areas.
16) Provide (2) each 120--volt electrical outlets within 100LF of the clear installation area for use by
Steeltec crews.
