GENERAL NOT .. �.
1. Construct on shall follow "standard Building Code} as adopted
by the county and as applicable to the area in which the
building is to be constructed with all applicable amendments.
2. The Contractor, Subcontractor, Supplier, etc. shall verify ali
dimensions, conditions at 3obsite, plans, specifications, etc.
3. All written dimensions on these drawings take precedence over
scaled dimensions.
4. Structural features not detailed on these plans will be
addressed by the Engineer as construction progresses.
STRUCTURAL NOTES
1. Design Loads:
Roof (DL + LL) a 47 PSF
wind Velocity " 110 MPH supporting structure
120 MPH roof system -
Truss Mean Height " 15 ft above grade
2. Soil bearing capacity : 2500 PSF
3. All structural concrete and grout shall have a minimum
compressive strength of 3000 PSI at 28 days.
4. Slab/Footings to be concrete with minimum 2500 PSI compressive
strength at 28 days. See plans for size and steel
requirements.
5. Minimum concrete Drotection for reinforcing bars:
footings: 3" Beams: 1-1/2" Suspended Slabs: 1" -
6. Lap all reinforcing steel aminimum of 30 bar diameters.
7. All standard lumber shall be SPF 03, HF 13, or Stud Grade vith
a minimum Fb=1200 psi, or better.
8. All Lumber in contact with concrete or masonry shall be
pressure treated.
9. Splitting or cracking of structural components due to
Installation of hardware is not permitted. -
10.Unless otherwise noted, the installation of specified hardware
shall conform to the manufacturers instructions and standard
practice.
ll.Bearing points of headers, girders, and beams shall have
vertical supports sufficient to support loads and shall be
properly anchored for uplift as will be noted.
12.Roof sheathing to be nailed with 10d Galv. nails or equal 6"
o.c. E+F in zones 1 6 2, and 4" o.c. E+F in zone 3.
13.Unless otherwise noted for exterior walls, exterior plywood
sheathing and interior drywall is to be nailed with 10d or
better nails 6" o.c. edges and 8" o.c. field, or screwed with
drywall screws 1.5 inches long and 0.131inches diameter
14.Attach window bucks with 3 - 3/16" by 3 1/4" 21/4" embedment
lag screws equally spaced. Attach Garage bucks with lag
screws same as windows except space at 18" o.c.
15.For ridge vent installations block with 2X4 02 HF or better,
between top chords of trusses along the edge of the Pw
directly below the vent.
