Horton Homes Creekside Lot 86 Model Response Letter Please see below for response to the above listed project. Comment 1: PLEASE ADD THE CUBIC VOLUME OF THE CONDITIONED SPACE TO INFORMATION BLOCK CONTAINING THE SQUARE FOOT INFORMATION. SEE CHAPTER 1 SECTION 107 OF THE 2014 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. Response 1: The cubic volume was added to the plans as requested. Please see the revised sheet 2 provided with this response package. Comment 2: PLEASE SEE DETAIL 5 ON PAGE D3. THIS DETAIL DOES NOT REFLECT THE WALL SECTION DETAILS 1 AND 2 ON PAGE D3. WALL SECTIONS SHOW THE SECOND FLOOR EXTERIOR WALLS TO BE RECESSED WITH A THICKER APPLICATION OF STUCCO. DETAIL 5 DOES NOT REFLECT THIS. PLEASE CLARIFY THE CORRECT APPLICATION FOR THE AREAS SPECIFIED. SEE SECTION 107 OF THE 2014 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. Response 2: Wall Section 1 and 2 reference Detail 5 as for the installation of the Weep Screed at the Masonry to Block Connection. All locations referenced in this comment specify 7/8" thick finish and do not differ in the thickness of the application. For clarification, we have revised the drawings to look more similar to avoid any further confusion. Also, in the revised details provided, Detail 5 from D3 has been moved to 7B on sheet WA2. Comment 3: AFTER VISITING THE JOB SITE AND INSPECTING THE TWO STORY STRUCTURES WE HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE ARE STRAPS BEING INSTALLED FROM THE SECOND FLOOR FRAMING TO THE BLOCK WORK. THERE IS NOT DETAIL ON THE PLANS FOR THIS APPLICATION. PLEASE CLARIFY. SEE SECTION 107 OF THE 2014 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. Response 3: Sheet D3, Detail 3 is a detail for Exterior Stud Wall Connection To First Floor Masonry Wall. 1441 N. Response 4: Please refer to Sheet GN, Site Work section notes 1,2 and 3 for clarification. Comment 5: PLEASE SEE THE PRODUCT REVIEW AFFIDAVIT ON PAGE D5. THE LISTED PRODUCT APPROVAL NUMBERS ARE OUTDATED. 16103.1 R4, 16104.1 R2, 16107 R3. -THE FLORIDA PRODUCT APPROVAL REVISION NUMBER IS OUTDATED. PLEASE SUBMIT THE CORRECT PRODUCT APPROVAL WITH THE CURRENT REVISION. PLEASE SEE SECTION 107 OF THE 2014 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. -PRODUCT APPROVAL NUMBER 16707.24 IS INCORRECT. PLEASE CORRECT PRODUCT APPROVAL NUMBER ON PLANS. SEE CHAPTER 1 SECTION 107 OF THE 2014 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. Response 5: Product approval numbers have been revised since the original completion date for this project. We have updated the product approval and supplied with this response package. Comment 6: SUBMITTED PRODUCT APPROVALS ARE FOR THE ZIP WALL SYSTEM. NO DETAILS ON THE PLANS PEASE4 CLARIFY IF THE ZIP WALL SYSTEM WILL BE INSTALLED ON THE PROJECT. SEE SECTION 107 OF THE 2014 FLORIDA BUILDING CODE. Response 6: At the time when the plans were completed and to be submitted, Zip Wall system details had not been requested or created for this plan. The details have since been revised. Please see the revised Detail Sheets provided with this response package. This will meet or exceed all criteria in regard to FBCR 2014 Edition.
