Dear Mr. Durden:
As requested by the contractor, the following field changes were reviewed and found in
compliance with the design criteria and the Florida Building Code:
• Current installation of 6x6 column is not approved.
• Reinstall 6"x6" syp. column per detail 3/S6 on sheet S6 of the plans.
• Gable wall framing at the west wall of the structure shall have 2" x 6" blocking at 2' o.c.
• H2.5 straps attached to the floor joist and to the top plate.
• Removal of wall beneath (3) 2"x6" ridge beam and replace with (3) 2"x4" column strapped to
studs at 2"x6" wall below with (1) MSTA24 Simpson strong -tie strap.
