3. Headers.
All headers/wood beams are 2-2x12 except noted, bonded with IOd nails 6" o.c.
Interior bearing header w/1 1/2" bearing, strapped with 2- Simpson NITS 16 or
MSTA 18 w/ 14-1 Od nails each end except noted.
4. Except as noted, exterior ceiling high rib lath and stucco 7/8" thickness, with 11 ga
2" long 7/16" head nails 6" o/c., or 5/8" gypsum board blocked seams, with 6d nails
or #6 x 1-1/4" screws 7" o/c field and 4" o/c edges.

at 95% optimum compaction, contractor to provide.
6. Concrete to have 2500 psi compressive strength in slab and footings by 28`h day,
3000 psi in beams and columns. Masonry conform with ASTM C-96, Pm=1900 psi.
Type M mortar per ASTM C-270, rm=2500 psi. Masonry contractor to verify wall
heights, beam depths, masonry opening sizes prior to construction.
7. Grade 40 steel minimum in foundation and footings, 3" minimum cover. Grade 60 in
beams and columns, lapped per ACI-318, 1 `/2 minimum cover.
8. All construction must conform to Florida Building Code FBC 2004.
9. Temporary bracing shall be required during the erection of wood trusses to prevent
toppling of the trusses. Plywood sheathing must be applied as each truss is erected to
brace the top chord. The provisions for temporary bracing shown in I-IIB-91 shall be
used for this bracing .The ultimate responsibility to see this bracing is installed

NpILI N properly during the erection process lies with the permit holder. This bracing is
extremely important for the protection of life and property during the erection
process. Temporary truss bracing shall always be required.
10. Fabrication of Roof and Floor trusses must be authorized by the Contractor. Prefab
wood trusses must be approved by a Florida Registered P.E..
11. Contractor to obtain the latest product approvals from the manufacturers, verify safe
pressures, expiration dates, installation specifications and suitability of the product
before installation of all building components.
12. All drawings are considered preliminary until they have been approved by the local
Building Department. Do not order any work or material with preliminary drawings.
