THE SCREEN ENCLOSURE HAS MANY HOUSES AND TREES AROUND IT. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EXPOSURE CATEGORIES LISTED IN SECTION 1609.4.3 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE THIS ENCLOSURE SHALL BE CALLED AN EXPOSURE 'B'. ACCORDING TO THE COMPUTER PROGRAM "WINDSPEED BY LOCATION", A PRODUCT OF 'APPLIED TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL' THE DESIGN WIND LOAD REQUIREMENTS FOR A RISK CATEGORY 1 ENCLOSURE IN THIS LOCATION IS DICTATED BY A WIND SPEED OF 145 MPH. HENCE, THE REQUIRED DESIGN PARAMETERS BEING HERE ARE 150 MPH WIND LOAD, EXPOSURE 'B', RISK CATEGORY 1. THE NEW POLY ROOF SCREEN ROOM HAS A TOTAL RISE OF 3 INCHES AND A RUN OF 12 FEET WHICH GIVES A SLOPE OF ABOUT 0.25 INCHES PER FOOT. THE POLY ROOF SCREEN ROOF IS BEING BUILT ON AN EXISTING NOMINAL 4" SLAB THAT IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THIS FOUNDATION IS ACCEPTABLE FOR THIS POLY ROOF SCREEN ENCLOSURE.
