LINDA BARTZ Please accept this lette in response to your written request received April 9,2018 to waive the
VICE CHAIR finished floor elevation of 18"above the crown of the road.The waiver request is for a proposed
DISTRICT 3 addition to an existing single family home at 267 Bermuda Beach Dr.,Fort Pierce.
Pursuant to Section 7.401(C-3)of the St Lucie County Land Development Code,the Planning
C_ HRIS DZADOVSKY and Development Ser ces Director has the authority to grant administrative relief, when
DISTRICT 1 topographical condition are such that compliance with this subsection would be impracticable
or cause grade level conditions detrimental to adjacent or nearby property,consistent with the
intent of the Flood Protection regulations and any other applicable portion of this Code.

DISTRICT 2 The Planning and Devel pment Services Director has granted your request for administrative
relief of the finished floof elevation based on the following determinations:
1 The proposed addition is in Flood zone X.
2 The elevation of center CATHY TOWNSEND ter line of the road is 2.50'NAVD.
DISTRICT 5 3 The finished floor elevation of existing house is 3.73'.
4 The finished floor elevation for the proposed addition will be the same as the SFR,which
is 1.23'NAVD abo I e the center line of the road.

ATTENTION:'Leslie Olson, AICP, Director of Planning and Zoning
RE: Permit# 1803-0313 Zoning Review
I am requesting that the Planning Director, Leslie Olson, grant relief requiring the building be
placed 18".above the center line of the load. The permit application is for an addition to an
existing home built in 1975. The survey shows the road height of 2.50' and the residence
elevation shown on the survey is 3.73'. The house is currently undergoing a major remodel.
The addition is engineered to be at the same elevation as the existing home. The home is not
in a flood zone.
