The Owner shall bear the cost of Initial testing and the Contractor shall correct any deficient work at his own expense. A. Asphaltic Concrete: Asphaltic concrete materials and construction methods shall meet the requirements of FOOT Sections 300, 320, 330 and 331 and shall be Type S with a 2" thickness. Prime Coats shall meet the requirements of FDOT Sections 300-1 through 300-7 and shall have an application rate of 0.10 gallons per square yard, unless a variation rate Is approved by the Engineer. Asphalt shall be placed in two (2) lifts. The first lift shall consist of 1-1/4" of Type S-1(mod). The second lift shall consist of 3/4" Type S-III. B. Base: The base course shall be 8 Inches of compacted Ilmerock for the loop road, residential road and the cul-de-sac as shown on the typical sections on the plans. The base shall be compacted to 98 percent of the maximum density as determined by AASHTO T-180. I for C. Subgrade: The subgrade shall be 12 Inches thick o the loop road residential road and the cul-de-sac and shall extend six inches beyond the edge of the base course within the limits shown on the plans. Subgrade shall be compacted to 98 percent of the maximum density as determined by AASHTO T-180. If normal compaction methods do not meet the required densities, the subgrade shall be stabilized as directed by the Engineer. D. Type "D" Curb: Concrete type "D" curb shall meet the requirements of FDOT Section 520 and shall be constructed to the typical section as shown on the plans. E. 8' Concrete Sidewalk: 8' concrete sidewalk shall meet the requirements of FOOT Section 522 and shall be constructed to the typical section shown on the plans. F. Painted Traffic Striping: Painted traffic stripes shall meet the requirements of FOOT Section 710. 6" wide white stripes shall be used for the centerline and edge -of -pavement. G. Stop Sign and Bar: Stop signs and bars shall meet the requirements of FDOT Section 700 and the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and shall be constructed in the locations as shown on the plans. H. Clearing and Grubbing: Clearing and grubbing shall meet the requirements of FOOT Section 110 and shall be performed within the limits of the project work. This work shall include, but is not limited to, the removal of existing trees, brush stumps, roots and other objectionable material to a depth of 18 inches below the natural ground or design grade, whichever Is lower. The areas to be cleared and grubbed generally consist of rights -of -way, utility easements, water management tracts, and portions of the lots as detailed on the plans. The Contractor shall confirm with the Owner the removal of any trees on the lots for possible preservation. All material shall be removed from the site of the project and shall be disposed of in accordance with local, regional, State and Federal laws, regulations and ordinances. There shall be absolutely no clearing and grubbing or placement or removal of material from within the area designated as "Wetland Preserve" or their buffers. 1. Rough Grade: The Contractor shall grade the rights -of -way and lots to meet the requirements of FDOT Sections 110 and 120 and shall conform to the lines, grades, and typical sections as shown on the plans.
