requirements of Florida Building Code, 6 th Edition, 2017 (FBC) Accessibility; FBC
Building; `FBC Residential, and; ANBIIAPSP/ICC-3, ANSI(APSPIICC=4,
ANSI/APSP/ICC-5;ANSI/APSP/IQC,..6 and ANSI/APSP-7; ANSI/APSP-15 and the
Adopted National Electric Code 2011 (NEC) and Chapter 42 and Chapter 45 of the
Honda SUilding Code, 6 th Edition, �017, Residential.

All Pool Piping to be Schedule 40 PVC, bearing the mark of NSF Approval unless
otherwise noted.

Al Reinforcing Steel to conforrp t9 ASTM 615, Grade 40. Reinforcing shall be #3
bars at 12" on center in each dirgetion, w/ 15" lap joints in walls and floors up
to 6'. Where the pool depth Is over 6ft (measured vertically down from the
Watedind), use #3 bars at 6" on center in each difoctioh in the areas that exceed
6ft ih depth.
If Concrete is cast against Bare Earth without a Separation Barrier, the minirnum

Al Metdlllc Pool Fittings within 5' of the inside wall and deck reinforcing steel to be
bonded to the Pool Reinforcing Stgel with #8 AWG Copper Wire. The #8 Copper
Wire to be run internally and externally with the NEC approved PVC Light Conduit
form the Light Niche to the Jungtipn Box. Completion of the pool grounding to the
Electrical Panel Ground to be by Electrician.
7.
Bond all Sheathed Cables, Racewgys, Metal Piping acid all Eixed Metal Parts not
separated by a permanent barrier, if within 5'-0" Hbrizohtdlly from Water and
12'-0" Vertically of Maximum Water Level.
8.
Equipotehtial Bonding to be acpornplished in accorddnce with Article 680 of the
Adopted National Electrical Code 2Q14 (NEC).
9.
Pool or Patio shall bear only on Rock or Clean S6hd, which shall be compogted to
provide a Structurally Safe Bearing Capacity. Any Unsuitable Material encountered in
excavation shall be removed in its entirety and the area shall be backfilled with

acceptable material and properly compacted. Where unsuitable Material cannot be
removedi the pool must be redesigned.
10.
The Contractor must protect Ep istjpg Structures front failure by acceptable methods
if requif4d. The Engineer accgpts_no responsibility for the safety of Existing

7. If the Base of the TumgpWn does not extend into the Old (Existing) Ground, a 4"0
Pilaster will be required every �'--0" that will be either 2'-0" into the Ground or
to 6h into the Indigenous Material, Whichever is Deeper. The Pilaster will have a

10. If a Screen Enclosure is to be installed, the Swimr6ing Pool Contractor must
coordinate Design and Construction of the Turndown Requirements with the Screen
Contrdctor to Ensure it meets their Requirements.
