The taller backside of the Ground Channel should be located directly beneath the outside _bottom edge of the home, where the Top Trim Mounting Strip will be attached (figurel ). FIGURE 11 Step 3... Cutting The Panels The Top Trim Mounting Strip is constructed with two Parallel ridges at intervals below -the nailing slots. (figure7). These ridges maybe used to measure the required panel height. For warm weather application, measure the distance from the ground to the lower ridge. In cold- weather, measure to the top. ridge. If the ground is level, several panels may be cut at one time. using a hand power saw..Remember, if a power saw is to be used, mount a fine-toothed blade in verse position (figure, 8). MKING THE PANELS A snap -.lock tool is used to punch locking tabs on the, aside. bottom edge. of each panel(figure.9). When the -,panel installed, it becomes loclked' in the Ground Channel. This Mures assures retention of the panel in the Ground Channel. Note: When installing in a high wind area, punch locking x at ,the:top of -the panel for added lockicig strength. Be sure to push the Top Trim Front Stripall the way linto the Top Trim Mounting Strip until R "snaps" Into place. Each of'the 14 pieces of the. Top Trim.
