The documentation submitted has been reviewed and accepted by Miami -Dade County RER - Product Control Section to be used in Miami -Dade County and other areas where allowed by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below. The Miami -Dade County Product Control Section (in Miami -Dade County) and/or the AHJ (in areas other than Miami -Dade County) reserve the right to have this product or material tested for quality assurance purposes. If this product or material fails to perform in the accepted manner, the manufacturer will incur -the expense of such testing and the AHJ may immediately revoke, modify, or suspend the use of such product or material within their jurisdiction. RER reserves the right to revoke this acceptance, if it is determined by Miami -Dade County Product Control Section that this product or material fails to meet the requirements of the applicable building code. This product is approved as described herein, and has been designed to comply with the Florida Building Code including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code. DESCRIPTION: TRI-BUILT Sand-R SA Shingle, Smooth HT S/A and S/A HT TU Underlayment Products LABELING: Each unit shall bear a permanent label with the manufacturer's name or logo, city, state and following statement: "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved", unless otherwise noted herein. RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no change in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product. TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a revision or change in the materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process. Misuse of this NOA as an endorsement of any product, for sales, advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate this NOA. Failure to comply with any section of this NOA shall be cause for termination and removal of NOA. ADVERTISEMENT: The NOA number preceded by the words Miami -Dade County, Florida, and followed by the expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the NOA is displayed, then it shall be done in its entirety. INSPECTION: A copy of this entire NOA shall be provided to the user by the manufacturer or its distributors and shall be available for inspection at the job site at the request of the Building Official. Repeat process for remaining one half of the length. !Once installed, the membrane must be pressure rolled with a metal or rubber roller. This acceptance is for prepared roofing applications. Minimum deck requirements shall be in compliance with the applicable building code. Tri-Built S/A HT TU Underlayment, Tri-Built Smooth HT S/A Underlayment or Tri-Built Sand-R SA Shingle Underlayment shall be, installed in strict compliance with the applicable building code. Tri-Built S/A HT TU Underlayment, Tri-Built Smooth HT S/A Underlayment or Tri-Built Sand-R SA Shingle Underlayment shall be applied to a smooth, clean and dry surface, free from irregularities. Re -fasten any loose decking panels, and check for protruding nail heads.) Sweep the substrate thoroughly to remove any dust and debris prior to application. When a smooth, clean and/or dry surface cannot be obtained, the substrate shall be primed with Elastocol Stick prior to application. 4. Tri-Built S/A HT TU Underlayment, Tri-Built Smooth HT S/A Underlayment or Tri-Built Sand-R SA Shingle Underlayment shall not be applied over an existing roof membrane as a recover system but may be applied over a roofing Base/Anchor sheet underlayment. 5. Tri-Built S/A HT TU Underlayment is acceptable for use in foam adhesive set and mechanically fastened roof tile systems as specified in the surfacing option of the approved assemblies. 6. Tri-Built Smooth HT S/A Underlayment or Tri-Built Sand-R SA Shingle Underlayment shall not be left exposed as a temporary roof for longer than 30 days. 7. Tri-Built S/A HT TU Underlayment shall not be left exposed as a temporary roof for longer than 180 days of application. 8. Tri-Built S/A HT TU Underlayment, Tri-Built Smooth HT S/A Underlayment or Tri-Built Sand-R SA Shingle Underlayment may be used with any approved roof covering listing Tri-Built S/A HT TU Underlayment, Tri-Built Smooth HT S/A Underlayment or Tri-Built Sand-R SA Shingle Underlayment. If Tri-Built S/A HT TU Underlayment, Tri-Built Smooth HT S/A Underlayment or Tri-Built Sand-R SA Shingle Underlayment is not listed, a request may be made to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) or the Miami -Dade County Product Control Department for approval based on the necessary documentation to detail compatibility of the products, wind uplift resistance and fire resistance results. 9. When applying the membrane in the valley, start of the low point and work to the high point, rolling the membrane from the center outward in both directions. For ridge applications, center the membrane and roll from the center outwards in both directions. 10. Membrane shall be applied to protrusions, slope changes, valley, curb, and other roof top penetration details before any other sections of the roof. All products listed herein shall have a quality assurance audit in accordance with the Florida Building Code and Rule 61G20-3 of the Florida Administrative Code. 12. Tiles must be staged onto Tri-Built S/A HT TU Underlayment not to exceed 10-high, to the standard maximum roof pitch of 6:12 for flat tiles and 5:12 for lugged tiles. Lugged tiles staging at slope > 5:12 shall use alternate staging method (bottom tile shall be inverted followed by eight tiles high on slope, as illustrated in Figure 1 below). Figure 1: Alternate Staging Method At roof slopes greater than the preceding limitationsi all tiles shall be loaded onto a nominal 1" x 2" horizontal batten to prevent slippage. 13. All membranes or packaging shall bear the imprint or identifiable marking of the manufacturer's name or logo, city, state and the following statement: "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved" or the Miami -Dade County Product Control Seal as shown below.
