1. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL LOCATE ALL SPALLS BY SOUNDING THE CONCRETE
SURFACES. USING A HAMMER. UPON LOCATION OF THE LOOSE CONCRETE A
DISTINCT HOLLOW SOUND WILL BE HEARD, THESE AREAS SHALL BE HARKED WITH
CHALK OR PAINT.
2. DELAHINATED. SPALLED, AND UNSOUND CONCRETE AREAS SHALL HAVE THEIR MARKED
BOUNCAR EES SAW -CUT TO A MINIMUM OF DEPTH OF 1' INTO THE CONCRETE SURFACE.
ALL EDGES SHALL BE STRAIGHT AND PATCHED AREAS ARE TO BE AS SQUARE AND
RECTANGULAR AS POSSIBLE.
3. CONCRETE SHALL BE REMOVED USING A 15" CHIPPING HAMMER.
4. WHERE REINFORCEMENT IS EXPOSED BY CONCRETE REMOVAL. EXTRA CAUTION SHALL
BE EXERCISED TO AVOID DAMAGING DURING REMOVAL OF ADDITIONAL UNSOUND CONCRETE
5. IF RUST IS PRESENT ON REINFORCEMENT, ADDITIONAL CONCRETE SHALL BE
REMOVED UNTIL CLEAN, SOUND REINFORCEMENT AND CONCRETE IS FOUND
AMC COVERED WITH 'SIKA ARMATEC 110 EpoCen.
6. UPON REMOVAL OF ALL DAMAGED CONCRETE, AND PRIOR TO STARTING REPAIR, A

7. ALL EXPOSED CONCRETE AND STEEL SHALL BE SAND -BLASTED CLEAN. A THIN COAT
OF PENETRATING EPDXY SEALER SHALL BE APPLIED OVER THE BARE METAL

8. THE CUT AREA OF THE CONCRETE SHALL BE CLEAN AND DRY PRIOR TO
COMMENCEMENT OF PATCHING,
