A. String Voc at Low Temperature 42.25V
The module Voc (39.48V) will increase to 42.25V at the design low
temperature (0°C).
(0°C - 25°C) X -0.111 V/C + 39.48V = 42.25V
The total Voc for the string is 42.25V.
42.25V X 1 = 42.25V
B. String Vmp at High Temperature 127.42V
Estimated cell temperature equals the design high temperature (33°C)
plus 35°C (the estimated difference between ambient temperatures and
the cell temperature for a flush roof mount).
33°C + 35°C = 68°C
The module Vmp (32.19V) will drop to 27.42V at the design high
temperature (33°C).
(68°C - 25°C) X-0.111V/C + 32.19V = 27.42V
The total Vmp for the string is 27.42V.

drill with 7/32" long -style bit, drill or impact gun with 1/2" deep socket.
Locate, choose, and mark centers of rafters to be
mounted. Select the courses of shingles where
mounts will be placed.
Using drill with 7/32" bit, -drill pilot hole into roof
and rafter, taking care to drill square to the roof.
Do not use mount as a drill guide. Drill should be
'long style bit; aka aircraft extension bit'to drill a
3" deep hole into rafter.

See "Proper Flashing Placement" on -
Insert flashing between 1st and 2nd course. Slide
up so top edge of flashing is at least 3/4" higher
than the butt -edge of the 3rd course and lower
flashing edge is above the butt -edge of 1 st course.
Mark center for drilling.
Slide flashing into position. Prepare hanger bolt
with hex nut and sealing washer. Insert into hole
and drive hanger bolt until QBlock stops rotating
easily. Do NOT over torque.
Insert EPDM rubber washer over hanger bolt into Using the rack kit hardware, secure the racking
block. (L-foot) to' the mount using torque specs from
racking manufacturer. If racking manufacturer does
not specify'torque setting, tighten to 13 ft.-Ibs.

Reference and Tips
Additional tips and information for installing mounts:
■ See Quick Tips videos on nail removal, bolt prep, and more at:
http://www.quickmountpv.com/support/videos.htmi
■ It is not necessary or advisable to use nails or other fasteners to secure the perimeter of
the flashing.
■ The E-Mount is made to work with standard and high -definition composition/asphalt and wood
shingle roofs with 5" to 5-5/8" courses. If the exposed surface of the course exceeds this measure-
ment you may need to use our Classic Shake Mount instead.
■ Depending on the seasbn and climate, size and location of seal tabs, and quality of the shingles,
the seal tabs that adhere the shingle courses together may not effectively seal the shingles to the
flashings. If this is the case, simply add several quarter -sized dabs of manufacturer accepted sealant
or asphalt roofing cement, meeting ASTM D 4586 Type II, between the flashing and the shingle
above.
■ Mounts should not be installed in areas of the roof susceptible to ice damming. Water ponding un-
der the shingles can reach the bolt penetration.
■ Take care not to damage the roofing material while working on the roof. Removing stone granules
and deforming the shingles in any way can shorten the lifespan of the roofing. The value of the solar
array is directly affected by the condition of the roof it is attached to.

4. INSTALLATION:
Joint Design: The width of the joint
should be a minimum of 4 times the
anticipated movement. In joints up to
1/2" wide. the depth of the sealant
should be equal to the width, but not
less than 1/4". In joints wider than
1/2", the depth should be maintained
at 5/8". Lap shear joints should have a
width of at least twice the anticipated
movement.
Surface Preparation: Joints to
receive sealant must be sound,
smooth, uniform in dimensions, and
free from defects and foreign material.
They must be clean, dry, and free of
frost and all contaminants, such as
curing compounds, sealers
(waterproofing), coatings, etc. Sealant

adhesion should be tested on each
different substrate prior to caulking. To
test adhesion, apply a sealant bead
and allow to cure thoroughly. Then pull
one end of the bead to test adhesive
strength.
Point Backing: Joint depth should not
exceed 5/8". An open cell backer rod
should be used to control joint depth.
In shallow joints, a bond breaker tape
should be installed to prevent
three-point contact.
Elongation: 881 %
Tack Free: 3 hours
Cure:1 day
Service Temperature:
-20" F to 150' F (-29° C to 66' C)
Application Temperature:
-20° F to 150° f (-29° C to 66- C)
Application and Tooling: Apply with
conventional caulking equipment. Fill
joints from the back to prevent voids
and air pockets. If application
temperature is below 40° F (5° C),
precautions should be taken to ensure
the substrates are completely dry.and
frost free. Immediately after application,
tooling is recommended to ensure firm,
full contact with the joint sides.
Cleaning: Remove 3300 Sealant from
gun and tools before it cures. This may
be done by scraping and use of
solvents such as Xylol. follow
manufacturer's instructions for safe
use. Cured materials may be removed
by cutting with sharp tools or
sandpapering.
Storage and Shelf Life:, Unopened
containers should be protected from
heat, moisture, and direct sun. Do not
open containers until all preparatory
work has been completed. Material in
unopened containers is usable for up
to 1 year when stored at 750 F (25° C).
Cautions: CONTAINS
