I received your request to substitute;the lintel straps on the 5500 Spruce Drive project.
Simpson Strong Tie part HHETA20 when used in pairs has a load capacity above the
original specified MSTC48133. In addition, the new proposed straps carry Florida
Product Approval Code FL11473.6. Substitution is approved.
I have updated the original permit documentation and included with this letter. If you
have any additional questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

Dear Mr. Hodge,
I reviewed the attached plans you provided for the subject house above. I agree with
your approach for a repair plan. As there is no distress to the house, settling, or other
damage, this repair would fall under Florida Building Code 2017 Existing Buildings
606.2.1.
606.2.1 Repairs for less than substantial structural damage.
For damage less than substantial structural damage, the damaged elements shall be permitted to be
restored to their predamage condition.
To reiterate your pla a op Z—inche-�'ofdama Sncrete from the five
piers shown on th attached sketch. Install new forms, re-pouing Quickcrete #1245,
and re -strap sing two (2) Simpson HHETA20 per pier. Use the s me type, quantity,
size, and emb nt depth for anchoring. As all other pi s no damage; this
issue likely date to the on inal constructio or a f in the pour during original
construction.
