Upon completion of the work, the job site shall be left clean of all debris, blasting residue, or any other items resulting from the o erations of the CONTRACTOR. The cost of any clean up that must be accomplished by the OWNER shall be .deducted from funds due the CONTRACTOR. 20. Qualily of !Material A lication: All demolition, cleaning, and repair mortar or coating application shall be done in a workmanlike manner. Curing ,times, temperature requirements, minimum/maximum application times, and specifications shall be strictly enforced by the CONTRACTOR and ENGINEER.. Surface Conditions: The surfaces to be repaired shall be free from mud, oil, grease, dust, moisture, salts, and other foreign material which would cause adhesion or other problems in the finished product. The Manufacturer's Published Product Data concerning the time between coats and the preparation of previous applications shall be followed. If field tests by the ENGINEER finds ' questionable amounts of contamination on. the steel surfaces or -concrete substrate, a representative of the in ufacturer may be called to examine the surfaces in question and determine if -e surfaces are in accordance with these Specifications ...-and the -manufacturer's published -product data. G. SPECIFICATIONS FOR O SCAFFOLDING, RIGGING,' SHORING, FORMING 1. Shop Drawihg Submittals: One set of Shop Drawings of fabricated items shall be submitted to the ENGINEER for review. The purpose of the drawings is to communicate ate -to the ENGINEER, what the CONTRACTORS general intent is with respect to scaffolding, accessibility, dust barriers, weather wall installation, or safety features. Drawings submitted shall include the materials to be used, fastening system, or unusual installation techniques. Shop drawing requirements may be waived at the discretion of the ENGINEER. H. UNANTICIPATED ADDfTIONAL WORK The specifications adequately describe the work to be performed based on the amount of information avanlable at the time of preparation. However, additional effort (shoring, forming, additional slab/panel demolition and replacement) may be required.
