BP # 0503-0349, Engineeri i g for Sliders As per your letter dated January 31st, 2006, you had requested engineering from the door manufacturer for the installation of sliding glass doors at Atlantic View. Tomac has since supplied revised engineered shop drawings from the structural engineer noting the installation of the operable panel on the exterior track. Manufactured job specific NOA's do not exist. The manufacturer produces products that comply with NOA's, they do not supply job specific engineering with their product therefore the glass installation company has obtained signed & sealed engineered drawings from an independent engineer which provides the job specific approval for the installation of the sliders. Hello Mr. Jasewic. I was hoping you could assist�our department with a technical question regarding one of Windoor's products. We have a contractor who has installed the above product with the operable panels on the outermost track such that the portion referred to as the "female butt stile" on the Florida Product Approval number 5482.2 protrudes beyond the track and extends out approximately .three inches over the exterior patio. The product approval information indicates that the operable panels are typically installed on the inner tracks and this protrusion is contained within the track system. Miami -Dade NOA previously submitted is for the same product. The request for tempered glass came after the permit submittal when the Condo Assoc. and Bldg Dept. agreed, without Tomads involvement, that the first 70 feet of the bldg. will be Shuttered. Also, the attached shop drawings show how the sliders are being placed. The Condo Assoc. requested retractable screens therefore the doors are being installed as shown on the shop drawings (see letter submitted from Windoor, Inc.). Thank you! As per Bill Van Wagner, he made a deal with the county to allow tempered glass in the building and Atlantic View is to supply shutters for the first 70 feet of elevation in place of missile impact glass. This is a revision fee to supply the St. Lucie County Bldg. Dept. with extended tempered glass information with regards to the same N.O.A. submitted previously by submitting the Florida Approval on the same Windoor, Inc. series 8000 product.
