SCOPE:
This NOA is being. issued under the applicable rules ana regulations governing the use of construction materials. The
documentation submitted has been reviewed and accepted by Miami -Dade County RER - Product Control Section to be
used in Miami -Dade County and other areas where allowed by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below. The Miami -Dade County Product Control Section
(in Miami -Dade County) and/or the AHJ (in areas otherithan Miami -Dade County) reserve the right .to have this
product or material tested for quality assurance purposes. If this product or material fails to perform in the accepted
manner, the manufacturer will incur the expense of such testing and the AHJ may immediately revoke, modify, or
suspend -the use of such product or material within their jurisdiction. RER reserves the right to revoke this acceptance,
if it is determined by Miami -Dade County Product Control Section that this product or material fails to meet the
requirements of the applicable building code.
This product is approved as described herein, and has been designed to comply with the Florida Building Code
including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code.
DESCRIPTION: FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics Platinum Roofing Underlayment
LABELING: Each unit shall bear a permanent label with the manufacturer's name or logo, city, state and following
statement: "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved", unless otherwise noted herein.
RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has been no change
in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product.
TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a revision or change in the
materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process. Misuse of this NOA as an endorsement of any product,
for sales, advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate this NOA. Failure to comply with any section
of this NOA shall be cause for termination and removal of NOA.
ADVERTISEMENT: The NOA number preceded by the words Miami -Dade County, Florida, and followed by the
expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. If any portion of the NOA is displayed, then it shall be done
in its entirety.
INSPECTION: A copy of this entire NOA shall be provided to the user by the manufacturer or its distributors and
shall be available for inspection at the job site at the request of the Building Official.
This NOA revises NOA No.14-1202.05 and consists of pages 1 through 4. CONCEALED FASTENERS OR ATi ACHMENTS

INSTALLATION SPECIFICATIONS: (Single Layer: Slopes of 2:12 or greater)
FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics Platinum Roof Underlayment
I. FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics Platinum Roof Underlayments shall be installed in
strict compliance with applicable Building Code.
2. FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics Platinum Roof Underlayments shall be installed with
a minimum 4-inch horizontal -lap and 64nch vertical laps in a shingle layer fashion. Vertical laps in a
succeeding course shall be staggered from those in preceding course by minimum 6-feet.
3. FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics Platinum Roof Underlayments shall be fastened with
approved roofing nails and tin -caps spaced 6" o.c. at all laps and three staggered rows fastened 12" o.c. in the
field of the roll.
4. FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics Platinum Roof Underlayments may be used with
Asphaltic shingles, Wood shakes and shingles, Non-structural metal roofing, and quarry slate.
5. For fire classification of specific roof assemblies using FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT
Synthetics Platinum Roof Underlayments refer to a current Approved Roofing Materials Directory for fire
ratings of this product. I

over an existing roof membrane as a recover system.
6, FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics Platinum Roof Underlayments shall not be left
exposed as a temporary roof for longer than 30 days of application.
7. FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics Platinum Roof Underlayments are components used
in roof system assemblies. Roof system assemblies are approved under a specific Notice of Acceptance. Refer
to Prepared Roofing system Product Control Notice of Acceptance for listed approval of this product with
specific prepared roofing products.

approved roof covering Notice of Acceptance listing FT Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics
Platinum Roof Underlayments as a component part of an assembly in the Notice of Acceptance. If FT
Synthetics Silver, FT Synthetics Gold, FT Synthetics Platinum Roof Underlayments are not listed, a request
may be made to the Authority Having Jurisdiction'(AHJ) or the Miami -Dade County Product Control
Department for approval provided that appropriate documentation is provided to detail compatibility of the
products, wind uplift resistance, and fire testing�results.
9. All products listed herein shall have a quality as audit in accordance with the Florida Building Code
and Rule'61G20-3 of the Florida Administrative I Code.
10. All membranes or packaging shall bear the imprint or identifiable marking of the manufacturer's name or logo,
city; state and the following statement: "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved" or the Miami -Dade
County Product Control Seal as shown below.

may be made to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) or the Miami -Dade County Product Control Department
for approval provided that appropriate documentation is provided to detail compatibility of the products, wind
uplift resistance, and fire testing results.
8. All nails in the deck shall be carefully checked for protruding heads. Re -fasten any loose decking panels. Sweep
the deck thoroughly to remove any dust and debris prior to application. Install when temperatures are 45' F and
rising.
9. When applying the membrane in the valley, start at the low point and work to the high point, rolling the membrane
from the center outward in both directions.

3. The roof deck and the roof deck attachment shall be designed by others to meet the minimum design loads
established for components and cladding and in accordance with FBC requirements.
4. Roof slope shall be in accordance with FBC Section 1507.4.2.
5. Reroofing shall be in accordance with FBC Section 1511.
6. Installation of the evaluated products shall comply with this report, the FBC and the manufacturer's
published application instructions. Where discrepancies exist between these sources, the more restrictive
and FBC compliant installation detail shall prevail.
7. All products listed in this report shall be manufactured under a quality assurance program in compliance with
Rule 61G20-3.
