The waiver request is for a proposed single family home at 11820 W Midway Rd., Fort Pierce. Pursuant to Section 7.04.01(C-3) of the St Lucie County Land Development Code, the Planning and Development Services Director has the authority to grant administrative relief, when topographical conditions are such that compliance with this subsection would be impracticable or cause grade level conditions detrimental to adjacent or nearby property, consistent with the intent of the Flood Protection regulations and any other applicable portion of this Code. I The Planning and Development Services Director has granted your request for administrative relief of the finished floor elevation based on the following determinations: 1 The property is in Flood zone AE-19' NAVD. 2 The elevation of center line of the road is 19.93' NAVD. 3 The proposed finished floor elevation will be 20.7' which will be 0.77' above center line of the adjacent road and 1.7' NAVD above BFE. 4 Raising the finished floor can cause conditions detrimental to the adjacent or nearby property. This approval does not in any way constitute authorization to begin construction. Prior to the commencement of any construction on this property, an application for specific building permit must be obtained from this department. Raising the finished floor elevation 18" above center line of the road will make it difficult to bring equipment into the garage and could cause conditions detrimental to adjacent or nearby property. 5 The proposed garage will be in the rear of the property. This approval does not in any way constitute authorization to begin construction.
