The home manufacturer designed the home's thermal and HVAC duct requirements, an engineering company approved the plans and the manufacturer put all pertinent information on the data sheet located inside the home — all to the federal requirements. All information is on the data sheet for the HVAC contractor tolsize the heating/air conditioning system. The home manufacturer built the home to approved plans and the state of Florida's in plant inspectors made sure all aspects of the home were correct. Since mobile homes are regulated and preempted by the federal government, local building departments cannot ask for construction information. Everything has already been done. Two references may help you and they are found in the Florida Statutes and the Florida Building Code. 1553.73 Florida Statute concerning the Florida Building Code.
