Dear Sirs,
This office has calculated uplift pressures for the above referenced project in accordance with
ASCE 7-10 in order to assist in the specification of an appropriate roof waterproofing system. All
building dimensions, characteristics, and geographical information are as follows: 1- story
residential building 13' x 21" aprox. roof area. 12' high, mean roof ht., flat roof pitch, 170 mph
wind zone, over 1 mile from the ocean, exposure C and an enclosed building.

The proposed roofing system on this project is as follows:
• CERTAINTEED ROOFING modified roofing over wood decks FL # 2533-Rl9
• FLINTLASTIC MODIFIED ROOFING
Please be advised that this system has Florida Building Code approval.
The calculated fastener enhancement for the above referenced project in accordance with
Roofing Application Standard (RAS) 117 to assist in the specification of a roof system.
EXISTING WOOD DECK TO BE RENAILED
The existing 19/32" min plywood deck @24" supports shall be nailed using 8 d ring
shank nails.
Panel edges in Zone #1 @6" oc and Zone #2 @6" oc and Zone 3 overhang @4" oc.

and never less than 4% the lesser planned dimension or 3 feet.

referenced roof structure is in compliance with FBC 2017 Edition 6
