Please bring in 2 copies of the floor plan with the Health Dep. Stamp so we can add that to the set of plans. Like we have discussed yesterday, the electrical permit will be a separate permit by owner/builder. Please inform the owner to come in as soon as possible to apply for the electrical permit. The permit will not be an over the counter and will need to be reviewed by Plans examiner and tied in to this permit. Please inform the owner to refer to this permit in his application. In the permit for the SFR we have added a deferred submittal. This inspection will not be signed off until we have issued the electrical permit. This will allow you to complete all priority 1 inspections. Hope it will workout this way. Let me know if you have any questions or need any assistance with the electrical permit. However, in the meantime the situation has changed. I was trying to find a solution to get your permit issued asap but was informed by Contractor licensing that the journeyman is not a licensed contractor and can't therefor not be listed as license contractor under the SFR. Both Dave Johnson (chief building inspectors) and myself thought he could do it since he has a license number. I am so sorry. I feel so embarrassed. So the only option now is a separate electrical permit as owner builder or a sub agreement from a licensed electrical sub -contractor. If a separate permit is going to be the choice, the owner will have to apply for an electrical permit for SFR. It will not be an over the counter permit. It has to be reviewed by plans examiner. If you wish, we can issue your permit and add a deferred submittal in the inspections. You will be able to start the construction and schedule the inspections with priority 1. However, after all priority 1 inspections have been approved the permit will be placed on hold until the electrical permit has been approved and issued. Or we place the permit on hold now and wait for the owner to submit his application. Please let me know what you would like to do and again we apologize for the inconvenience.
