NOTICE
Th�,s Notice is to inform you that your property is in a Flood Hazard Zone.
Th's means that the elevation of the first floor must be set at 9 feet, NGVD ( mean sea level ), or
18 1 above the crown of the road, whichever is greater.
NC CONSTRUCTION is to proceed beyond the 1 st floor / slab inspection, or just prior to the
seand floor pour of a multi -story structure, until the required elevation certification has been
co pleted by a registered surveyor, and received and approved by the Building Division of the
St. Lucie County'Community Development Department.
Violation of the requirement will result in the scheduling of a public hearing before the St. Lucie
County Code Enforcement Board. The Board is empowered to levy a fine not to exceed
$2 0.00 per day for each day the violation continues. A fine not to exceed $500.00 per day may
be levied for a repeat violation. The fine may become a lien upon the real or personal property
of he violator.
Thl elevation certification may be submitted any time within 21 calendar days from the above;
hoYever, no further construction should take place, nor will any inspections be made until the
re uired certification has been received and approved.
