Test Standards: Roof assembly tested in accordance with ASTM E1592-01 `Test
Method for Structural Performance of Sheet Metal Roof and Siding
Systems by Uniform Static Air Pressure Difference' and FM 4470
Section 5.5 `Resistance to Foot Traffic'.
Test Equivalency: The test procedure in ASTM E1592-01 comply with test procedure
prescribed in ASTM E1592-05(2012).
The test procedure in FM 4470 (1992) comply with test procedure
prescribed in FM 4470 (2012).
Code Compliance: The product described herein has demonstrated compliance with FBC
2017 Section 1507.4.
Product Limitations: Design wind loads shall be determined for each project in accordance
with FBC 2017 Section 1609 or ASCE 7-10 using allowable stress
design. The maximum support spacing listed herein shall not be
exceeded. The design uplift pressure for reduced support spacing may
be computed using rational analysis prepared by a Florida Professional,
Engineer or based on Union Corrugating load span table. This product
is not approved for use in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone. Fire
classification is not within scope of this Evaluation Report. Refer to,
FBC 2017 Section 1505 and current approved roofing materials
directory for fire ratings of this product.

1. Allowable load for each condition is the smallest load calculated based on fastener capacity, panel strength and

2. The wind load is taken as 0.7 times the "component and cladding" loads for the purpose of determining deflection limit.
3. The panel allowable properties are determined iiom full scale ASTM E1592 tests at 5' 0" span
4. The panel fasteners are #12-14 x 1" long self drilling screws with washers. Fastener spacing across panel width
is 9.0" o.c. in the interior supports and 3.5"-5.5"-3.5" o.c. at panel ends.
5. Sidelap fasteners are 1/4"-14 x 7/8" long self drilling screws with washer at 30" o.c.
6. Steel supports are minimum 16 ga. All supports must be designed to resist all loads imposed on the panel.

Test Equivalency: The test procedure- in ASTM E1592-01 comply with test procedure
prescribed in ASTM E1592-05(2012).

Code Compliance: The product described herein has demonstrated compliance with FBC
2017 Section 1507.4.
Product Limitations: Design wind loads shall be determined for each project in accordance
with FBC 2017 Section 1609 or ASCE 7-10 using allowable stress
design. The maximum support spacing listed herein shall not be
exceeded. The design uplift pressure for reduced support spacing may
be computed using rational analysis prepared by a Florida Professional
Engineer. This product is not approved for use in the High Velocity
Hurricane Zone. Fire classification is not within scope of this
Evaluation Report. Refer to FBC 2017 Section 1505 and current
approved roofing materials directory for fire ratings of this product.

STEP #2 - INSTALL BRACKETS
A. Mark the horizontal location of the support
brackets (SEE DIAGRAM 9).
13. Mark the vertical location of the support
brackets by using a transit or water level.
THE DOOR MUST13E LEVEL.
NOTE: Verity minimum headroom require-
ments. Dimension "X". If sufficient, lower the
brackets until"Z" is obtained. If the bracket is
lowered more than 2" this will reduce the open-
ing height The guide height should also be
reduced accordingly. .
C. Drill holes and fasten the brackets with the
proper wall fasteners required to obtain a
solid mounting. Use through bolts on soft
block or brick.

STEP #3 - DRIVE INSTALLATION
A. Install ROPE (if equipped) as follows:
1. Drill minimum 3/6" hole in center of bottom
angle. Thread Ile rope through hole and tie
knot in both ends.
B. Install DIRECT DRIVE CHAIN HOIST (If
Equipped) as follows:
1. Slide Direct Drive Assembly (43) onto door
axle.
2. Align holes and install a/e" x 11/2" Hex Bolt (51)
through rear of end drum.
3. Install 3/6' nut (t5) and lock washer (17) and
tighten securely. Repast.
4. Food Hand Chain through the Drive Assembly,
(SEE DIAGRAM 11)

C. Install the CAST REDUCTION GEAR CHAIN
HOIST (If Equipped) as follows:
1. Slide round flat washer (27) onto door axle
2. Slide Idler. Gear Assembly (55, SM onto door
axle.
3. Slide Planetary Sprocket assembly (53) and
Chain Guide Assembly (57) onto door axle and
over idler gear carrier tube.
4. Slide collar over the idler gear tube and align
holes.
5. Secure with S/+s" x 3" hex head bolt (59), and
s/1e' seH locking nut (60), (SEE DIAGRAM 12)
NOTE: Keep Idler Gear at a 10 or 2 o'clock
position with the bottom angle being at 6 o'clock.

D. Install the POCKET WHEEL REDUCTION GEAR
CHAIN -HOIST Of Equipped) as follows:
1. install Drive Sprocket (67) on preferred side
using 3/e" x 11/2' Hex Bolt (51).
2. Slide 1" pipe spacer (69) onto door axle.
3. Slide pocket wheel assembly (66) onto door
axle and align sprockets parallel to each other.
4. Conned drive chain (08) around both
sprockets using the master link provided.
S. After door tension has been adjusted. (STEP 6)
Tighten set screws on pocket wheel assembly.

F. Install "OLD STYLE" ELECTRIC OPERATOR KIT
Of Equipped) as follows:
1. Remove spring clamp assembly (5)'from door,
axle (if supplied).
2. Insert a/a' x 4 1/2" bolts (74), with 3/6' lock wash-
er (17) through ovary other 3/a" hole in end
drum.
3. Slide one end of flat bar brace (72) over each'
bolt and then slide 3N' pips.spacer (73) over i
each bolt. Slide opposite end of flat bar bracei
over the next bolt in counter clockwise rotation.
4: Slide bearing drum assembly over the three
bolts.
5. Attach and tighten ale flat washers (16). 3/s" '
(17) Lock Washers, and 3/a' nuts (14) to and of
bolts.
e. Slide round flat washer (27) and spring clamp,
assembly (5) onto door axle and secure against
the bearing drum assembly (26). (SEE
DIAGRAM 15) .
NOTE: New Style E.O. Kits are to be used wit
"flush' end drum position, and Old Style E.O. Kits e
to be used With "recessed" end drum position.

STEP #d - POSITION DOOR
ASSEMBLY
, Place the axle clamp (9) or axle casting (6) on to
door support bracket (29,30), Lift the door assorn-
bly up onto the support brackaL (SEE DIAGRAM
16). Center door assembly in the opening, if side-
ways movement is necessary, be certain the door
curtain end the axle move together.
Position the door as class to the header
i as possible. Allow room to spin the door. Do not allow
the door curtain to scrape the header. Do not use
torkhtte or genie lifts with unprotected arms/forks.
This can cause irreparable damage to�door curtain.

STEP #5 - AXLE HARDWARE
A. MANUAL PUSH-UP / ROPE DRIVE: (Both sides)
1. Place axle clamp (9) onto horizontal member of
the support bracket (29,30) and under the door
axle.
2. Place'h" U-Soft (12) over door axle and
through axle clamp.
3. Fasten U-Bolt using 3/a" nut (15), 3/9" flat wash-
er (16) and 3/8' lock washer (17) — tighten
securely. (SEE DIAGRAM 17A)

B. DIRECT DRIVE CHAIN HOIST (Drive Side):
1. Place axle saddle casting (S) onto horizontal
member of support bracket and under the door
axle.
2. Place the axle clamp (9) and the extended
keeper plate (11) over the door axle as shown
to extend keeper plate over the direct drive
chain guide channel (50).
3. Fasten together using s/o" x 31/2" hex bolt (13).
3/4" lock washer (17), No" fiat washers (16), and DIAGRAM 19
3/9" nuts (fine thread) (14) — tighten securely.

C. CAST REDUCTION DRIVE CHAIN HOIST (Drive
Side):
1. Place the axle saddle casting (9) onto the sup-
port bracket (29,30) and under the door axle.
2. Place the two axle clamps (9) and extended N•
keeper Plate (11) on top of the door aide as ! 4�,

3. Fasten axle saddle casting, axle clamp and p ° !Y�
extended {beeper ), selock together using 3/e" 1c. ' ; '
31/2` hex bolts (13), 3/e' lack washers (17) ::/e`

4. Fasten secondary axle clamp, extended keeper
plate and' 3/e' U-Bolt (12) using 3/s" lock wash-
ers (17). 3/s" flat washers. (161, =to-" nuts (15) —
tighten securely. (SEE'DIAGRAM17C)
5. Install; stay brace (6.1); onto chain guide channel
(571 using; "/rs x 1114"flat head' bolt (62) and
15pe nut (60)and tightensecurely.
S. Fasten the stay brace to the support bracket
using. a.(64) #14 Tek Screw and Ile flat washer
(23). (SEE' DIAGRAM 17C)
D. POCKET WHEEL REDUCTION DRIVE CHAIN
HOIST' (Drive Skit) and OLD' ORt' NEW STYLE
KITS FOR ELECTRIC' OPERATION:
.1. Same steps as, "Cast Reduction Drive" with the
exception. of #5,and #6. Packet wheel reduc-
tion drive and E.Q. kits, do not require a stay
brace.
E. NON -DRIVE SIDE (for Direct Drive, Cast or
Pocket Wheel R'duetfon Drives and E.O. Kite):
1. Place axle saddle casting (a) onto horizontal
member of support bracket and under the door
axle_
2. Place the axle clamp (9) and the standard
keeper plate (10)> over the door axle as shown.
3. Fasten together using,3/3" x 3112' hex bolt (13),
3/9' lock washer (17)', 3/8" flat washers (16), and
3/e" nuts (fine thread) (14) — tighten securely.
(SEE DIAGRAM 170).
®TE: Requires a minimum of 40 lbs. torque to
properly secure hardware.
STEP # 6 - PRE TENSION SPRINGS
A. Install chain cllp (25) approximately 4'0" above
floor an chain operated doors. Installation must be
secure.
B. Apply pre -tension to the springs by rotating the
door two (2), turns in a forward direction {SEE
DIAGRAM 16). The bottom angle is to be in a 6
o'clock position.

C. If you're unable to rotate door to pre -tension use a
pipe wrench to rotate axle in opposite. direction.
With one person on each side of door, each par-
son should firmly place a large pipe wrench on the
door axle as shown In DIAGRAM 19. Pull down to
apply tension incrementally until you achieve 2 full
rotations of the door axle. Then tighten the axle
hardware.
D. Repeat Step C if adjustment Is necessary.

STEP #7 - CUT THE BANDS
EMMEM, door is now under tension.
Before cutting the bands; take hokt of the door roll by
the bottom angle.
A. Cut the bands and, bring, the curtain down no
further than 1/4 the height of the door opening.
Secure chain over the chain retainer, or wedge a
wood prop between the bottom angle and'the.
door roll to prevent upward'traveli .
STEP #8 - INSTALL DOOR STOPS, .
(Lift Clipsy AND SLIDE BOLT
LOCKS
A. Install'the door stops • (flip and the slide bolt locks
using 114" x 11/4` truss head' bolt (20); 1/4"'flat"
washers (23), s/1s" nut(22)', and 1/4"'self locking.` .

NOTE: when installing slide bott locks; the
threads from the truss heaciboit protruding from tiie
sell locking nut should be removed to aflush'position
with the self locking nut to prevent door from hanging
up on the head stops. Clamp a pair of vice grips onto
the thread and break off.
STEP #9 - INSTAL. DOOR GUIDES
A. The head stops on the guides should be no more
than 1" higher (to bottom of stops) than the door
header. If not, cut the bottom of the guides to
match your opening height and relocate slide bolt
notch at bottom of guide.
B. Models 201, 202, 2051 211, 231, 232, 235: Raise
the door curtain so the bottom angle is approxi-
mately 3" below the header. Slide the guide over
the door curtain and position against.the'door
opening allowing 114" clearance from edge of cur-
tain to inside the guide.
Install the top fasteners, lower curtain into guides
slowly, maintaining proper clearance and stop at
6" above the floor. Install bottom fasteners. Check
If the guides are plumb using a level. The
fasteners should be located approximately ever
24" starting 6" from finished floor. Install balance
of fasteners and bend the lead-in at the top of the
guide to a 45 degree angle:

C. Model 203, 204, 233, 234: Use same procedure a5 -
above allowing 114' clearance between curtain and
the Windlock spur, Lower the curtain into the'
guides slowly. Be sure there is sufficient clearance
for the windlock clips to enter the guides. (SEE
DIAGRAM 7 and 8)
D. For `1Nindload Certified Doors" rater to drawing.for
fastener/anchor type and frequency.
E. Spray silicone lubricant in.gufdas for ease of
operation.
