COMMUNITY NORTH OF HUTCHINSON ISLAND SOUTH AND SOUTH OF ST. LUCIE NUCLEAR POWER PLANT ON ROUTE
A1A IN ST. LUCIE. THE ENCLOSURE IS COMPLETELY OPEN TO THE WINDS OF THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. UNDER THE
EXPOSURE CATEGORIES LISTED IN SECTION 1609.4.3 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE THIS ENCLOSURE IS AN
EXPOSURE 'D'. ACCORDING TO THE COMPUTER PROGRAM "WINDSPEED BY LOCATION", A PRODUCT OF 'APPLIED
TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL' THE DESIGN WIND LOAD REQUIREMENTS FOR A RISK CATEGORY I ENCLOSURE IN THIS
LOCATION IS DICTATED BY A WIND SPEED OF 149 MPH. HENCE, THE DESIGN PARAMETERS BEING USED HERE ARE 155
MPH WIND LOAD, EXPOSURE 'D', RISK CATEGORY I.

MEMBER TO THE U-BRACKET AND THE U-BRACKET TO THE ROOF BEAPJI CAN BE REPLACED WITH FOUR (4) #14 SMS. THE
