Dear Ms. Olson;

Please accept this letter requesting relief from the St. Lucie County Development Code chapter 7.04.01
finished floor requirement. In that code the finished floor elevation requirement is 18" above the crown
of the road. Because my hanger is being located towards the existing grass taxiway for ease of access, a
steep gradient would be created between the existing taxiway and hanger if the hanger were
constructed at an elevation of 18" above the crown of the road. This steep gradient would be
problematic in getting a plane in and out of the hangervia a concrete apron. Therefore:,'I.would like to
request some relief from the County's development code requirement and ask that I be allowed to
lower that requirement to 12" above the crown of the road: The crown of the road -is at elevation 23.6'
thus requiring the building finished floor elevation to be 25X. We would like to construct the hanger at
a finished floor elevation of 24.6%
ncerely,
Lvdia Galbraith
