1. The use of the Lock Down Anchoring System requires sidewall vertical ties at no greater than 5'4" on center.
2. Centerline anchors to be sized according to the soil torque conditions.
3. Sidewall anchor loads in excess of 4000 pounds requires a 5' anchor.
4. Sidewall vertical ties can use 4' anchors in soil type 413.

The ,ground Anchor with Strut Attachment Cap will take the place of one perimeter anchor
and a'ign with a sidewall vertical strap. Install this anchor at a slight angle, not to exceed
15 degrees. This assembly includes a stabilizer plate that is installed with the anchor and
attached with a U-bolt and two nuts. The stabilizer plate should be driven into the ground ^ - 4dawtll svaP
when1 the anchor is about 2/3 installed. Attach the stabilizer to the anchor shaft using the
U-bcIIt and nuts then complete the Install of the anchor until the strut attachment cap is

Laying, the- Bottom Channel
A level or plumb -line should be used to establish the
location of. the, Ground Channel.' The taller backside of the
Ground Channel should -be located directly -beneath the
outside bottom edge, of the home, where the Too Trim
Mounting- Strip will be -attached (figurel). . To prevent grass
from growing around . the base of the skirting . and provide a
non -shifting for the ground spikes, 9" asphalt roof starter
should be installed around the home. The roof starter also
reduces- the possibility of the vinyl skirting panels from being
damaged from- the use of -a powered string trimmer. "Weed -
Eater" type trim units -will damage the skirting. and is not
covered by the warranty.

The Too Trim Mounting,Stflp is installed by driving the
steel- nails in the middle. of every . slot (figure . re 5). CQ-,NOT
WAIL-TIGHTLY1 (See nailing- instructions on -front page) Do
not cut Top Trim Mounting at the corners. Gently bend over
a sharp:edge of a cutting table or a similar surface to form
the comer (figure 6).
If the Installation Is made in extremely cold"weather. the
vinyl should be warmed to room temperature before
bending. Warming will avoid the -likelihood of cracking.

The Top Trim Mounting Strip is constructed.withtwo
parallel ridges atjntervalsbelowthq nailing slots (figur6'..7).
These -ridges may be used to measure the required panel

CAUTION
Proper Installation of Mobile Home Skirting requires that the
Top Back be nailed, loosely so the panel will slide freely In the
nail slots.
This can be accomplished by -leaving the nail head 1/16'
to I W'ftm the face of the panel.
The nail must penetrate a solid nallable surface by 314*.
The steel nails supplied With the product are 1-ile in
length.
Do not place outdoor cookers near the vinyl skirting
because the heat will distort the panels. Any heat source must
be kept away from the panels or damage may occur.

Installing the Top Trim Front Strip .
The Top Trim Front Strip installs easily by snapping the
top edge of. its'spdng .track into the Top -Trim AlOounting Strip.
Be sure to push the Top Trim Front Strip all them'dy'into the
Top Trim Mounting Strip until A " snapa" into place
Each of the 14 pieces of the Top Trim Front Strip are
notched'2 on one end (figure -12) to permit overlapping.
Overlap ends ®f adjoining trim front approximately 1" Four: of"
the pieces are factory -notched -for forming comers. Two
pieces are notched at 6', two T 7-1 W from the; end.
Starting. at one of the front comers of the homewith a
piece of trim step notched 3' 7-1/4r from the end, place'the
short section on the front of the home and bend, the longer
section, around to the side (figure 13-1) At the other front
corner, place a piece of trim strip notched -at 6'- (figure-13-2).
Take.the second:piece-notched T T -1/4" frorn.the end and,
overlap the long. section, on the side of the home : bending the
short section to the bads side of the home (figure 13-3).
Finally, take the last 6' notched section and bend around the
remaining comer (figure 13-4).
