Request for Relief from Section 7.09.04.B of the St. Lucie County Land Development
Regulations
Dear Ms. McGee,
As outlined in the pre-application staff report dated June 11, 2021 (SPMj-5202126036), please
accept this letter as a written request for relief from Section 7.09.04.B of the St. Lucie County
Land Development Code. The code requires a 10 ft landscape buffer with hedge or other durable
landscape barrier of not less than four (4) feet in height at planting when off-street parking areas
or vehicular use areas are abutting property.
The attached landscape plan depicts a hedge planted at 24” rather than four (4) feet. We
respectfully request relief from this requirement due to the lack of plant material available and the
cost associated with planting the hedge at four (4) feet to fulfill.
Please confirm that relief from this requirement has been accepted. Should you have questions
