The required fire flow for the building has been determined from NFPA 1, table 18.4.5.2.1 as
shown below.
Building characteristics: 103,200 square feet, type IIB construction
Requirement from NFPA 1 table 18.4.5.2.1: 6,750 GPM
Reduction of 75% allowed for approved automatic sprinkler protection per NFPA
18.4.5.2.1.
6,750 GPM x 0.75 = 1,688 GPM
Final Needed Fire Flow:1,688 GPM
