I hereby certify that with the exception of the proposed curbing that we discussed previously all of
the County required improvements have been completed on the Drawdy Office Complex project
and that I have inspected the construction. Inspection was done incrementally in accordance with
the requirements of "Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, St. Lucie County,
Florida" and we have reviewed the results and certification of the independent testing laboratory.
These improvements are in substantial conformance with the development plans and the Standard
Specifications as prepared by this office, with the exception of the aforementioned curbing.
Please find enclosed two (2) copies, as well as a mylar reproducible of Sheet 1 & 3 of 3 with the
As -Built information for the paving, grading and drainage portions of the project indicated, as well
as a complete set of density test results as conducted by Fraser Engineering & Testing.
If there are any further questions or comments with regard to these matters, please do not hesitate to
contact this office.
Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:
An inquiry has been made as to how many 1 Od x 1 '/2"nails are required in a Hughes
HTA20 truss anchor to satisfy the uplift requirements for the common trusses on this
project. The HTA20 truss anchor is a 16ga. metal strap anchor embedded into a concrete
beam. This strap is made in three lengths, 16", 20", and 24". The last two numbers in
the product code designate the length of the strap so the strap in question has a length of
20". In all other structural aspects the straps are identical with the longer straps having
more nailing area for larger uplift requirements.
In reviewing the engineering for the 51' span roof trusses, the worst case uplift for a
common truss or common hip truss is less than 1380#. To satisfy this value a minimum
of 10 nails must be used. Less nailing may be used for uplifts of lesser value per the
chart below. All nails are to be 1 Od x 1 '/2".
