Drill holes through both sections at splice. Fasten together with trim fasteners. 3. Insert end closures in end sections of gutter flush with end of nutter and at- tach with trim fasteners to the back of gutter only. 4• Apply gutter seal to inside edge of all splices, and around all trim fasteners. INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 1. Rais@ first section of gutter into place at eave line and slide gutter end in- side of gable corner 2. Hold gutter in place against bottom of roof panels and attach from top aide of roof panels with L,.� screws at 5"-7"-5" O.C. 3. Complete corner connections by installing trim fasteners 3/8" from end of gable corner trim. Fasteners must go through gutter and end closure. 4. Position remaining sections of gutter and attach to roof panel with LAP screws at 5"-7"-5" O.C. S. Attach gutter supports to top flange of gutter with trim fasteners. Position first support on second major rib of roof panel and continue placing supports every 6'-0 for 12 psf live load and 3'-0 for 20, 30 and 40 psf live load. Do not place a gutter support on a panel sidelap. 6. Align the front edge of the gutter by stretching a line from each end of build- ing along the top front edge of the gutter. If the building length will not allow the use of a string, the gutter will have to be "sighted in." Straighten gutter by moving the gutter supports in or out and attach supports over major rib of roof panel with LAW screws. 7. Before turning vent over, cut shipping tape on pull bar link so hook-up for the pull bar is ready for connection. Then,set first unit into place and align centerline of end skirt with centerline of major rib of roof panel. Caulk is applied between side skirt and end skirt --(CAUTION... Do not block end skirt drainage.) --and also at the base of the end cap and along the top of the rib fillers. Attach side skirts to roof panels at each major rib with roof screws. Erect eave strut of the main building including eave strut extensions, if any, before starting to erect the slimline canopy or gable. overhang. 2. For gable overhang, attach purlin extensions to the main building purlins. 3. Erect canopy or overhang end rafters as shown in Section F-F, Page m &-' 7 . 4. Erect remaining canopy purlin extensions. 5. Erect all sidewall panels, eave trim and endwall panels to the main building. Fielc cut corner panel to fit around end rafter. Field cut endwall panels to fit around purlin extensions (see Section F-F, Page m '.' , ). 6. Attach canopy rafters to main building frame with H.S. bolts as called for in Section. A -A. Note... Top flange of rafter is above top of eave strut. 7. Attach fascia purlins and intermediate purlins to canopy rafters. 8. Attach roof panel according to standard procedure. Note... Do not lap panels at eave strut, but extend panel uphill to the first purlin. 9. Apply pigtail of Starseal Sealant at sidelao of roof panel (refer to Pages 3e�._.; and 30,�'- for roof screw spacing and roof panel layout). II. FOR CANOPY AND OVERHANG WITH SOFFIT AND GUTTER Follow Steps #1 through 19. 10. Attach Soffit Support Flash If-13S (Io'-2) and Metal Rib Filler 11-228 or 11-248 to sidewall panels with trim fasteners at V-0 O.C. 12. Beginning at outside edge of extension, attach overhang soffit panels to purlin extnv-I lions. Be sure major rib of soffit panel lines uo with the major rib of the roof panel. Field cut width of soffit panel as required. NOTE --The soffit panel should not be cut to width for its entire length, but only to the corner of the building. 13. Install canopy soffit panels inside gutter trim and attach to soffit support flash with screws at l'-0 O.C. in the flat of the panel. Attach panel to fascia and inter- mediate purlins with screws at l'-0 O.C. 14. Hold Metal Rib Filler 11-248 in place at gutter trim and attach with trim fasteners at 1'-0 O.C. 15. Hold gutter against gutter trim and against underneath side of roof panels and attach to roof Panels with screws 5"-7"-5" O.C. 16. Align outside of gutter and attach to gutter support with trim fasteners. 17. Attach supportzees to short leg of both roof panel and soffit panels (see Section D-D). 18. Attach gable corner to gable trim and attach gable trim to roof panels with screws at 2'-0 D.C. and to the soffit panels with trim fasteners at l'-0 O.C. Lap canopy gable trim and main building gable trim I". 19. Slide gutter inside gable corner and attach with trim fasteners. III. FOR CANOPY AND OVERHANG WITH SOFFIT AND FASCIA TRIM Follow Steps #1 through #10 and 113. 21. Install soffit panels inside fascia trim pnd attach to soffit support flash with screws at 1'-0 O.C. in the flat of the panel. 22. Attach Metal Rib Fi11Er 11-248 to fascia trim with trim fasteners at 1'-0 O.C. Follow Steps 418 and #19. IV. FOR CANOPY WITHOUT SOFFIT AND OVERHANG WITH SOFFIT Follow Steps #1 through #9. Steps #10 through #22 pertain to canopies and overhangs with soffit.
