Dear Sir: August 29, 2007 SCANNED BY St Lucie County Please be advised the engineer spot-checked the reference job site rough plumbing installation at four locations. Observed conditions and respective comments include: 1) In addition to the rough plumbing, the gravel base, welded wire fabric and vapor barrier are in place. 2) Spot-checked plumbing appears adequate and according to the approved plans and specifications. It should be noted that all observations and recommendations are based upon a visual, non-destructive inspection process. The engineer renders no opinion with respect to structural elements that are concealed. Consequently, the recommendations stated within this letter may be modified by the presence of hidden defects. Therefore, this letter should in no way be taken as an implied warranty that there are not hidden defects present that were not accessible or visible at the time of this on -site investigation, and whether or not this structure was originally constructed in accordance with the applicable building codes, the original construction documents, or on sound engineering principles and practices. We have modified our drawings per you comments and our conversation. The following is a coordination of our, adjustments. Comment #1: Provide 2 letters of compliance indicating documents comply with 2004 FBC with 2006 supplements. Action Taken: Sheet A-1 noted this as "2004 FBC, 2°d Edition. Changed note to comply with reviewer comment. Comment #2: Design Professional of Record to review truss drawing submittal. Action Taken: See review notation on truss drawing submittal. Comment #3: Truss layouts must state the 2004 FBC with 2006 supplements and R- 802:1.6 details. Action Taken: To be completed by others. Comment #4: Sheet A-4A shows 3-ply girder `BG" Truss design indicate 2-ply. Action Taken: Modified drawing to comply with truss design see sheet A-4A. The unfilled cells are to be opened from one side at the top of the unfilled cell. The cells may then be pumped full with 3,000 psi concrete mix. The open cell may be hand packed at the top and closed with a plywood form until cured. Form may be removed upon curing. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
