Ocean Dr., #919, Jensen Beach, FL 34957 To Whom It May Concern; The scope of work at the above referenced site consisted of the damming of a seawall cap leak that caused the loss of compacted fill behind the wall and below the nearby one story CMU residence. It also included the vertical stabilization of the residence and subsequent interior repairs to various non-structural components damaged by the settlement of the structure. To accomplish this scope, various levels of excavation and concrete demolition was required between the residence and the sea wall. During the excavation, several layers of previous construction were discovered which each in tuT had to be removed or altered to allow the push pier pile installation that was necessary for stabilizing the structure. This discovery required continued site visits by me and several modifications to the overall scope of work. Some of the obstacles discovered were quite challenging to overcome but all were eventually and the structure is properly stabilized and repaired and the patio area restored to a completely functional condition. I performed inspections on 9/5/18, 10/5/18, 1/15/19, 2/2/19, 2/5/19, 2/6/19, 2/7/19, 2/12/19, 2/21/19 and 4/1/19 and provided continued engineering support to the contractor. All phases of construction are complete and all repairs performed, including structural in the stabilization process, comply with the requirements of the 2017 Florida Building Code and ASCE 7-10.
