AU GEWERACO ACCESSORIES Model GOM73.0 00 93 tisrm DESCRIPTION Geaerae's Smart Power Management System Is designed to optimize the performance of a standby generator. The system can consist of up to 8 Individual Smart Management Modules (SMM). Unlike other load management systems that depend on another control device, the SMM modules are actuatty self - aware and operate autonomously, Frequency is the true measure of generator engine performance and does not need to factor in Increased ambient temperatures, elevation changes or generator fuel type. The modules monitor the frequency (Hz) of the power being produced by Geeerae'a standby generators and If It falls below a threshold, the modulo will automatically foilow a power management aigorlthm to ensure that the generator Is not Overloaded. certain The modules can be set to a load priority between 1-8 or be set in a lock out only mode for loads that JUSt Sfmply d0 not need t0 run In an outage, therefore reducing the necessary size of the generator for a more cost effective solution. Consider these factors: The Installation of the generator must comply strictly with ICC IFGC, NFPA 37, NFPA 54, NFPA 58, and NFPA 70 standards. ° Install the unit where air inlet and outlet openings will not become obstructed by leaves, grass, snow, etc. If prevailing winds will cause blowing or drifting, consider using a windbreak to protect the unit. ° Install the generator on high ground where water levels will not rise and endanger it, This unit should not operate In or be subjected to standing water. ° Allow sufficient room on all sides of the generator for maintenance and servicing. This unit must be Installed in accordance with any local, state, or national codes for minimum distanceS from other structures. Clearance from the ends and front of the generator must be 3 It (0.91 m). This Includes shrubs, bushes, and trees. Clearance from the back of the generator must be a minimum of 18 in (457 mm). Clearance at the top should be a minimum of 5 ft (1.52 m) from any structure, overhang, or projections from the wall. ° DO NOT install under wooden decks or structures unless there fs at least 5 ft (1.62 m) of clearance above the generator, ° Install the unit where rain gutter down spouts, roof run off, landscape irrigation, water sprinklers, or spray the enclosurMP Pump e, Including any arge does not ir Inlet or utiet openings, d the unit or m ° Install the unit where services will not be affected 13 or obstructed, including concealed, underground, av or covered services such as electrical, fuel, phone, ex air conditioning, or Irrigation. This could affect an warranty coverage. ma ° Where strong prevailing winds blow from one enb direction, face the generator air inlet openings a the the prevailing winds. ° Install the generator as close as possible to the fuel NO supply to reduce the length of piping. REMEMBER THAT LAWS OR CODES MAY, REGULATE THE nati DISTANCE AND LOCATION. In the absence of age local codes regarding placement or clearance, we recommend following these guidelines: The Install the generator as close as possible to the within transfer switch. REMEMBER THAT LAWS OR hems CODES MAY REGULATE THE DISTAi`10E AND The LOCATION. mater — The generator must be installed on a level sur- face. The generator must be level within a 0.5 In (13 mm) all around. — The generator is typically placed on pea gravel, Compacted soll, crushed stone, or a concrete Pad.
