%BACKGROUND: As of February ;2007 there were approximately 4,500 building
permits issued since 2004 that have expired. A. majority of these were hurricane repair
permits. from hurricanes Frances, Wilma and Jeanne: A large effort was'undertaken by
the Code Compliance Division throughout 2007 to notify homeowners and contractors of
the existence of these permits, and the importance of having these renewed and.inspected.
During this time, permits were generally renewed for a $50 fee or at no charge for
permits applied for prior to April 1, 2005. This effort has successfully reduced the
number of expired permits to 2,400. However, the trend of permits expiring continues
despite continued efforts to notify the permit -holders when permits are about to expire.
A permit renewal policy is required to appropriately enforce the codes referenced above. .
Building Permit Renewal Policy ;
POLICY. A one time, eighteen month permit renewal may be allowed by the Building
Official. The renewal fee shall be a percentage of the permit fee calculated using the
current Fee Schedule. The percentage shall be the percentage of open inspections
remaining on the permit.

In the event the permit does not pass a Final Inspection during the renewal period, the
permit shall not be renewed again. A new permit shall be obtained. Any work performed
without an active building permit will be subject to a Stop Work Order and payment of
the applicable fee prior to renewal or issuance of a new permit.. Should a -new permit not
be obtained, A Notice of Violation shall .be issued and the matter referred to the Code
Enfoicement Board and/or Contractor Licensing Board for possible fines against the
property owner and action against the contractor's license.
EFFECTIVE DATE: May 1, 2008
PROCEDURE: The attached Permit Renewal Request shall be submitted to the Code
.Compliance Division and .all fees received prior to re -activation of. the permit .and
commencing any. further work.. .

Church located at 707 Kittennan Road, Port St. Lucie.
I apologize for the delay in answering your review. I have had difficulty in obtaining the documentation
required in item #3. The following is my response to your review.
Item #1: The Original square feet, added square feet, total existing square feet and occupancy load has
been added to sheet A-1 and A -IA.
Item #2: The revised foundation plan is added to sheets S-1 & S-2.
Item #3: Since Inland Steel is no longer in business I am unable to obtain a stamped copy of the bay that
was added, however, I have attached the following:
A. Erection Drawing for Building #1, C9863-01' (Sanctuary) with a copy of the certification
letter. Both items are stamped.
B. Erection Drawing for Building 92, C9863-02 (Classroom, lobby, fellowship hall,
restrooms & Offices) with a copy of the certification letter. Both items are stamped.
C. Erection Drawing for Building 91, C9863-03 (Drive Thru) with a copy of the certification
letter. Both items are stamped.
D. Erection Drawing for additional bay for sanctuary, H0444. Since the bay was added to the
original order they only provided the attached erection drawings unstamped.
Inland Buildings was purchased by Schulte Building Systems in.September, 2008 and they have informed
me that they have no records prior to the date of their purchase. I respectfully request that since the bay
was added prior to the erection of the building and it has been in place since March of 2004 that you will
accept the data that I have attached as adequate.
Item #4. There is no kitchen as such. Only counter space. No food will be prepared in the building. We
will add a kitchen in phase 2 that we plan to build in 2010.
Item #5. Revised Energy Calculations are attached.
Item #6. Revised duct plan is. shown on sheet M-2.
Item #7. Revised Electrical and Fire Alarm plans are shown on sheets E-3 .and E-4.
Item #8. Stage details are shown on sheet A-2.
Item#9. Life Safety plan is shown on sheet A -IA.

Audrey Humphrey:
1. Current NOC is attached.
2. Sub -Summary attached.
3. There is, no roofing sub -contractor. The Pre -Engineered building was erected by -
the General Contractor, Stewardship Services.
4. A CD'for the Fire Department is attached.
Joe Cicio:
1. The Cover Page has been corrected to reflect the proper Engineers involved -in the
design.
2. All Electrical sheets have been modified'as requested.
3. We have requested the CD's and drawings from Wiginton Fire Protection
Engineering, Inc. and they will be submitted under separate cover as soon as they
are received.

To Whom it may, Concern:
1 respectfully, request an extension for Building Permit # SLC-0412-0354, issued to Stewardship Services
for the construction of a new Church Building.located•at 707 Kitterman Road.
The attached Application for Building Permit Revision is for the addition of one 23'4" bay to the sanctuary
fora total of 1,633.3 sf. .
The delay for this request is due to the difficulty in obtaining a commitment from the City of Port St. Lucie
Water -Department, for service to the building. Without this commitment we could not occupy the building
since the expense of providing water for the Fire Sprinkler System was prohibitive. In addition we should
soon obtain approval, from the county for'the modified site plan required because of the additional
sanctuary seating provided by;the.building addition. '
Even though the original permit was issued under the 2001 FBC, we have made special care -to keep the
building in compliance with the current codes as they have been issued. Consequently the facility adheres
to all aspects of the 2007 FBC with addendums.
This addition requires no modification to the, electrical or mechanical systems since they were originally',
'designed to include phase two and phase three shown on the original permit drawings. ;
We have determined that there may be'a future need to add -two three.ton•ainconditioning units to the
stage/chancel area of the sanctuary. We have roughed in the ductwork under the stage, which was
inspected by the countyprior.to,being covered with the stage floor. When or if the decision is made to'add
these units we will take out a separate permit for their installation.
