NATURE OF WORK: Vero Beach Roofing, Inc. shall furnish the labor and material necessary to perform the construction work described herein or in the referenced'contract documents. Vero Beach Roofing, Inc. does not provide engineering, consulting or architectural services. It is the Owner's responsibility to retain a licensed architect or engineer to determine proper design and code compliance. Vero Beach Roofing, Inc. assumes no responsibility for structural integrity or compliance with building codes and design. CONTRACT PRICE: Vero -Beach Roofing, Inc. proposed to perform the work in.accordance with the above specifications for the "Cash Price" sum of PLEASE SEE ATTACHED EXHIBIT "A" Dollars. If Contractor incurs any expenses in collecting money due under this contract, Owner shall reimburse Contractor for all such expenses, including reasonable attorneys fees. Contractor is entitled to interest at the rate of 1.5% per month on all amount not paid,when due. 4.TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The terms and conditions set forth herein are part of the Proposal and Contract. 5. Contractor's RIGHT TO RESCIND: Contractor reserves the right to withdraw or revise this Proposal until such time as Owner communicates his acceptance to Contractor. This proposal may be withdrawn after communication of acceptance where an inadvertent error by Contractor has occurred. EXHIBIT "A" January 10, 2019 Scope of Work: 1. Tear off existing roof down to sheathing boards and remove all trash from jobsite. 2. Nail sheathing to code as needed. 3. Install 1-ply of peel and stick direct to deck. 4. Install 24 gauge galvalume, 1" nailstrip panel, standing seam roof system. 5. Flashings to be same material. 6. Eliminate two turbines on roof. 7. No gutter work is included in proposal. 8. 5 Year Vero Beach Roofing workmanship warranty included. However, Vero Beach Roofing will NOT be responsible for any damage that might occur. • Vero Beach Roofing Inc. Is not responsible for any roof or structural related issues that may occur as a result combining sealed attic system with an impermeable roof covering. • Exclusions: Asbestos abatement if necessary, painting, wood replacement, concrete repair and replacement, gypsum deck repair and replacement, metal deck repair and replacement. The roofing industry is currently experiencing price volatility with steel and other roofing products. Because of the market fluctuations, the prices of these products are subject to sudden, significant changes and firm prices cannot be obtained from suppliers. If there is an increase in the price of roofing products charged to the contractors subsequent to making this proposal/contract, the price set forth in this proposal/contract shall be increased to reflect the additional cost to the contractor. Contractor will submit written documentation of the increased charges. Although due care will be given to landscaping, driveways and awnings, it it's the customers responsibility to remove or protect as needed and we will not be held Ilable for damage. ACCORDING TO FLORIDA'S CONSTRUCTION LIEN LAW (SECTIONS 713.003-713.37,FLORIDA STATUTES), THOSE WHO WORK ON YOUR PROPERTY OR PROVIDE MATERIALS AND ARE NOT PAID IN FULL HAVE A RIGHT TO ENFORCE THEIR CLAIM FOR PAYMENT AGAINST YOUR PROPERTY. THIS CLAIM IS KNOWN AS A CONSTRUCTION LIEN. IF YOUR CONTRACTOR OR A SUBCONTRACTOR FAILS TO PAY SUBCONTRACTORS, SUB -SUBCONTRACTORS, OR MATERIALSUPPLIERS OR NEGLECTS TO MAKE OTHER LEGALLY REQUIRED PAYMENTS, THE PEOPLE WHO ARE OWED MONEY MAY LOOK TO YOUR PROPERTY FOR PAYMENT, EVEN IF YOU HAVE PAID YOUR CONTRACTOR IN FULL IF YOU FAILTO PAY YOUR CONTRACTOR, YOUR CONTRACTOR MAY ALSO HAVE ALIEN ON YOUR PROPERTY. THIS MEANS IF ALIEN 15 FILED YOUR PROPERTY COULD BE SOLD AGAINST YOUR W ILLTO PAY FOR LABOR, MATERIALS, OR OTHER SERVICES THAT YOUR CONTRACTOR OR A SUBCONTRACTOR MAY HAVE FAILED TO PAY TO PROTECT YOURSELF, YOU SHOULD STIPULATE IN THIS CONTRACT THAT BEFORE ANY PAYMENT IS MADE, YOUR CONTRACTOR IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE YOU WITH A WRITTEN RELEASE OF LIEN FROM ANY PERSON OR COMPANY THAT HAS PROVIDED TO YOU A "NOTICE TO OWNER." FLORIDA'S CONSTRUCTION LIEN LAW IS COMPLEX AND IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU CONSULT AN ATTORNEY. Construction Industries Recovery Fund: Payment may be available from the Construction Industries recovery Fund if you lose money on a project performed under contract, where the loss results from specified violations of Florida law by a state -licensed contractor.
