Port St Lucie, FL 34987 561-718-3049 Re: Parcel ID: 3215-801-0011-000-8 SCANNED BY Leslie Olson, AICP St. Lucie County Director Planning and Development Services Saint Lucie County, Florida I am writing youto request relief from the requirements of the St Lucie County Land Development Code, specifically the need to have the finished floor elevation at 18" above the crown of the centerline of the adjacent road. 1 am building a small equipment shed in the Aero Acres Subdivision. The property is just over 2 acres in size and heavily wooded. My wife and I have spent countless hours trying to situate the building on the property in a way that minimizes the removal of the natural trees. If we are forced to build at 18" above the crown of the road, the adjacent sloping of the soil will require us to remove — 50% more of the natural trees and some large pines. This is counterproductive to our goal of minimal impact to the surrounding trees. I am requesting a FFE of 23.7' I am a current resident of Aero Acres for 14 years and build my hangar and house owner/builder. Through this experience I understand the watershed and building process. I have personally observed the proposed site during the latest flooding times and am confident that flooding of the structure will not be an issue. Thank you for your time and consideration.
