The Sunroom shall meet the following:

Building & Code Regulations Division
1. These requirements apply to every Sleeping Room and every Living Area with a Means of Escape
to the existing balcony. (FFPC 24.2.2.1.1)
2. All Operable Windows shall meet the Minimum Size, Maximum Height from the Floor, &
Operational Constraints requirements for Emergency Escape & Rescue Openings of (FBC 1030.2
thru 1030.4) and the requirements of (FFPC 24.2.2.3.3)
3. Access shall be a passage through an adjacent unlockable space, independent and remote from
the primary means of escape, to any approved means of escape. (FFPC 24.2.2.3.2)
4. An existing building or portion thereof shall not be altered such that the building becomes less
safe or energy efficient than its existing condition. (FBC, Existing 701.2)
