Pierce, FL 34982 CONTRACTOR: J W Sydor (Owner Builder) PERMIT #: To Be Applied for F RECEIVED Dear Sir; SCANNED BY St. Lucie County APR 01 2018 i WOP Count.- a -.- As per Owner's request, the re -roofing of asphalt shingles of the subject residence is inspected by myself, on this date, after its completion in 2016. The purpose of these inspections was to determine the level of code conformance for the installation of the new asphalt shingles. The one -story -high roof has gable configuration and 4/12 slope. Based on careful inspections, conducted in attic space and on the roof, the following are observed: A) The existing 19/32" CDX plywood sheathing is re -nailed using 8d ring-shanked nails to measure 6" o.c. in field and 4" o.c. in perimeter/corner zones. 13) The roof deck is provided with one ply of ASTM D226 Type II (30-Ibs) felt underlayment tin -tagged by using 11 ga 11/4' ring-shanked nails spaced at 6" o.c. along seams and 12" o.c. staggered two rows in middle of sheet. C) All 26 ga. 2"x2" galv'd drip edge metals are overlapped a min. of 4" and installed using 11 ga. 1-1/4" MDA-approved roofing nails at 4" o.c. D) The exposure and course layout conform to Owens Corning (NOA #18-0216.01) "Supreme AR 3-Tab" asphalt shingles, fastened using six (6) 11 ga. 11/G" long roofing nails. Therefore, this letter is to certify that re -nailing of existing plywood deck, installation of 30-Ibs felt underlayment, roof metals and installation of Owens Corning "Supreme" 3-Tab asphalt shingles of subject residence are completed conforming to requirements of 6t' Edition of 2017 Florida Building Code which specifies 165 MPH ultimate wind speed for Risk Category II, in Exposure B area.
