Subject: RE: Seal Museum BY
St. Lucie County
Robin,
The seal museum would have to be designed to 140 m.p.h. wind speed / exposure C * In respect to the sprinkler
requirements in table 1004.1 using 15 [ net ] [ un concentrated tables and chairs ] our code would require sprinklers per
chapter 9 [ 903.2.1.3 ] for an occupant load over 300 * Their load based upon 8400 s.f. would be 560 min. We would
make a better determination upon receipt of the plans.
Thanks

Subject: Seal Museum
Joe, I just met with Craig Mundt and Greg Celentano of Ahrens Companies who are working on the addition to the Seal
Museum, the addition is going to be 8,400 Square Feet and a A-3 Assembly Use they were told by Fire that no sprinklers
were required, based on our recent situation with the restaurant I told them I would check to see if our code was the
same as fire in this case, so please check and get back to me. Also they wanted to know the wind zone at the museum
site, is it 140 or 150 miles per hour. Thanks

SUBJECT: Finished Floor Elevation for the Navy Seal Museum
Greg,
This memo is to clarify that the finished floor elevations of 8 feet for the Navy Seal Museum is
correct. I verified with the St. Lucie County Storm Water Division that your fine provided them
with the required alternative calculations to demonstrate that 8 feet was adequate to meet flood
elevation requirements.
