Wind loads have been calculated for a speed of 157 MPH. The roof pitch and construction have
been analyzed, and the photovoltaic system structure designed to resist resulting uplift and
downward forces. The attached drawings and diagrams reflect a design that safely transmits
dead and live loads to the roof. To the best of my professional knowledge and belief, the subject
construction and photovoltaic system installation will be in compliance and designed to 2017
Florida Building Code 6d Edition at the time of our review.

ORail —Supports PV modules. Use two per row of lock washer for attaching Lrfoot. Flashings: Use one per
modules. Aluminum extrusion, anodized. standoff. Unirac offers appropriate flashings for both
standoff types.
© Rail splice —Joins and aligns rail sections into single
length of mil. It can form either a rigid or thermal
expansionjoint, 8 inches long, predrilled. Aluminum
extrusion, anodized.
© Self -drilling screw —(No. 10 x 3/a") — Use4 per rigid
splice or 2 per expansion joint. Galvanized steel.
OL-foot— Use to secure rails either through roofing
material to building structure or standoffs. Refer to
loading tables for spacing. Note: Please contact Unirac
for use and specification of double Lrfoot.
© L-foot bolt (3/8" x 3/a") —Use one per L-foot to secure
rail to 1-foot. Stainless steel.
