The materials for this building have been designed in general accordance with the 9th edition, AISC Steel Construction Manual and 1996 AISI Cold Formed Steel Design Manual with 1999 addendum. Star Building Systems is certified by AISC in Category MB. These structural components have been designed at the Oklahoma City, OK, facility and will be fabricated at one or more of the following AISC certified locations: Monticello, IA; Lockeford, CA; Elizabethton, TN; Columbus, MS; or Rocky Mount, NC. These materials, when properly erected on an adequate foundation in accordance with the erection drawings as supplied and using the components as furnished, will meet the attached loading requirements without exceeding the allowable working stress. This certification does not cover field modifications or the design of materials not furnished by Star Building Systems. Code section 11-4.1.3 (5) exception 41 allows that elevators are not required if the floor area is less than 3,000 sq. feet unless the building is a shopping mall, shopping center, or the office of a health care provider. This facility meets the requirements of this exception. 2. . Fire sprinkler plans -table 500-factory industrial type IV unprotected. Building "A" will have a sprinkler system and the plans are being prepared by the contractor. Building "C" is factory industrial with an allowable area of 21,000 sq. feet unsprinkled. Area modifications allow 100% increase or a 21,000 sq. foot increase. The total allowable is 42,000 s.f and the total shown in the plans is 41,500 s.f. 3. Travel distance length to exit — table 1004 Florida Building Code — manufacturer travel distance to swing door warehouse from offices. The allowable distance of travel in the manufacturing area is 250 feet in a sprinkler protected building. The distance to a required exit is less than the maximum from any point. 4. Exits 2 d level minimum number for egress code 1004.2.2 per story 2.
