FBC104.2.6 Certificate of Protective Treatment forprevendon of termites.
A weather resistant jobsiteposting board shall be provided toreceive
duplicate Treatment Certificates as each required protective treatment is
completed, providing a copy for the person the poermit is iisued to and
another copyforthe buildingpermitfles. The Treatment Cerfcateshag
provide the product used, identity of the applicator, time and date of the
treatment, site location, area treated, chemical used, percent concentration
and number of gallons used, to establish a verifiable record ofprotective
treatment. If the soil chemical barrier method for termite prevention is used,
final exterior freatment shall be completed prior to fnal building approval.
St Lucie County requires for the final inspection for CO, a Permanent
Sticker to be placed on the electrical panel box cover, listing all the
treatments and dates of applications.

Dear Mr. Handler.:
Per your request, I have inspected the termite treatment requirements in
fire FBC and find the baiting method (which Is used on all GHO homes) should
have been specified on the foundation notes Instead of the soil treatment. The
soil treatment note is an error and should be omitted.
R318.1.7
If a registered termifidde formulated and registered as a ball system is used for
subterranean termite prevention, Section R318.1.1 through Section R318.1.6 do not apply;
Itowever, a signed contract assuring the installation, maintanence and monitoring of the
balling system that Is In compllence with the requirements of Chapter 482, Horlde Statutes,
shag be provided to the budding official prior to the pouring of the slab, and the system must
be instetied prior to final building approval
