The area between the house and the proposed pool was ro probed with a Static Cone Penetrometer to determine the level of compaction of the ° backfill material. Three probes were performed at the following locations: .Y r 1) 2' from pool on east side, 15' from house at southeast end. 2) 2' from pool on east side, 15' from house at approx. center. v3) 2' from pool on east side, 15' from house at northeast end. ? c It is our opinion that the pool backfill as indicated by the above test locations has J: r W been compacted to a density of the order of 95 percent modified Proctor. The test specimens consisted of fifteen (15) foot sections of representative safety fencing. The section tested measured forty-eight (48) inches high for the D110X-6 Product and (60) inches high for the S117X-6 Product. They were installed with horizontal spacing of thirty-six (36) inches. The representative samples were installed as per the ASTM Standard F-2286-05 Section 4. We have completed the performance tests for vertical load and impact testing in our facility based on the noted ASTM Standard as well as reviewing test results from Twitchell Corporation and TexTest. Conclusion: Based on our testing and the information provided to us for review that the products that were found to meet or exceed all minimum requirements put forth by ASTM F-2286-05 Sincerely NUTTING ENGINEERS OF FLORIDA, INC. The test specimens consisted of (48) inch x 1" diameter high removable aluminum pole sections into 1 1/8" x 4" polypropylene sleeves drilled into concrete paver tiles. The section tested measured thirty-six (36) inches high from the top of the paved deck and had a horizontal spacing of thirty-six (36) inches. The representative samples were installed as per the "Florida Residential Building Code" section R4101.17.1.11 through R4101.17.1.15 and Florida Statue 515.29 which states: Vertical posts of the child mesh safety barrier shall extend a minimum of three (3) inches below the deck and be spaced no greater than thirty-six (36) inches apart. At the time of testing, a lateral force was applied to a single post at a measurement of thirty-six (36) from the surface of the deck. The resistance to lateral pressures was found to exceed 70 Pounds of pressure before failure on any single post in a free standing installation. Conclusion: The products tested were found to exceed the required 52lbs. of horizontal force measured at 36" prescribed by the Florida Building Code section R4101.17.1.15 Paragraph 1. Attached with this report are photographs of the paver system used at the time of the installation of the Removable Child Barrier. 615 S.W.
