Pierce FL 34945 Dear Mr. Clarius: SCANNED BY St. LudeCou* I was contacted to perform a structure certification for the above referenced pole barn and associated permit issued by the St. Lucie County Building Division. It is understood that this certification applies to only the individual pole barn structure which is filed as a separate permit from the additional pole barn structure on the property. The pole barn is an open sided wood frame structural system over isolated concrete footings with a gable -monitor roof geometry metal roof system. The wood frame structural system is a base 6x6 wood column supports with beams supporting an upper pre -fabricated truss system and a lower (lean-to roof) rafter system. The wood columns are anchored with Simpson ABA66 Base Anchor Connectors and supported by 24" diameter reinforced concrete isolated footers with a compressive strength no less than 3,000 psi. Partial siding metal panels extend up to 3' below the soffit along the upper and lower roof sections. The upper monitor roof pre -fabricated truss system is a series (at 24" o.c.) of No. 2 grade southern pine 2x4 lumber sized and fabricated with metal connector plates in accordance with the National Design Standard for Metal Plate Connected Wood Truss Construction of the Truss Plate Institute (TPI). The trusses are braced and erected in accordance with the Truss Plate Institute Bracing Wood Trusses: Commentary and Recommendations, HIB-91 and fastened to the structure per the building design plans with Simpson HI Hurricane Ties. All connector plates are stamped 20 gauge galvanized steel meeting ASTM A 653/A 653M and placed on both sides of the truss. The lower (lean-to) monitor roof is fabricated with a series of No. 2 grade southern pine 2x6 rafter joists at 24" on center. The rafter joists are fastened to the structure per the building design plans with Simpson Hl Hurricane Ties. The metal roofing system installed is a 26 Ga. Galvalume 5-V Crimp Metal Roofing Panels system over longitudinal 2x4 battens fastened to the trusses/joists at 24" on center. The metal roof and siding panels have been fastened with #10 1-1/4" hex head screws at 6" along the edges and 16" equivalent in the field. A galvalume drip edge and valley flashings were installed under the partial siding metal panels. Dzama, P.E. This letter is to hereby certify that the materials and installation of the aforementioned wood frame structural system, foundation, metal roofing and siding system was constructed in accordance to all applicable codes, including the 6'h Edition of the 2017 Florida Building Code, in association with the above referenced permit issued by the St. Lucie County Building Division. No additions or alterations to any part of the pole barn structure after the date of this certification is considered in this certification and any structure modifications made after the date of this certification shall consider this certification in accordance to the design plans null in void.
