We have different regulations on roofs over docks depending on those things. Also, if the tiki but roofing overhangs the footprint of the dock we have to consider that additional overwater square footage that would get added to the dock square footage when looking at it for review purposes. The dock is there for years and had a dock extension approved in 2010. Since there is no modification to the dock they would not need to have approval from FDEP for this tiki but correct? Would you be able to answer that question and if not do you maybe have a contact person for me to use for questions like this? I appreciate the help! In response to your comments, we aren't in an aquatic preserve or on state lands and the actual tiki but will not extend past the footprint of the existing dock. So if there is no criteria that would require me to get a FDEP permit, could you please reply to this email stating that no permit is required.
