Pierce, Florida 34951 Engineer's Project Number: 18BO13 Dear Mr. Peterson: OCT 2 5 2018 8T. l.ude—"initting This letter is provided as a response to the comments dated September 18, 2018, regarding the subject project. All comments are addressed as follows: 1. Please show locations of lavatories on plans 403 FPC 2017. Sheet S1.1 shows the location of the existing lavatories. 2. Please provide a complete ground level and mezzanine level floor plan. Show all rooms labeled and dimensioned with their function, including the entire mezzanine. ([A} 107.2.1). There is no mezzanine level, the stairs lead to a loft area that will house mechanical equipment only. There is no occupancy in the loft area. Sheets S0.1 and Sheet S3.1 have been revised 3. Clarify use and occupancy —scope of work lists'Business Alteration', general notes list occupancy as S-2, life safety notes list S 1. Groups B, F-1, H-5 are also listed. The majority of the space is shown as fabrication/manufacturing: Identify the function of each space on the floor plans for clarification. Revise tables as needed. (FBC 302.1). Revised scope of work is on Sheet S0.1 and new Sheet S0.2 shows the full building life safety plan and code analysis. 4. Identifythe maximum expected quantities of hazardous materials to be (A) stored, (B) used in a closed system and (C) used in an open system. Identify the methods of protection from such hazards, including but not limited to Control Area, Fire Protection Systems and Group H occupancies shall be indicated in the report and on the construction documents. The opinion and report shall be prepared by a qualified person, firm or corporation approved by the building official. (FBC [F] 414.1.3). Indicate on the drawings where hazardous material will be stored. Provide fire separation as required by code. Note that an H-5 is not permitted adjacent to an F-2, 5-2 or B Occupancy unless sprinklered. (FBC 508.3.3). There are no hazardous materials or work that will be in this building. 6. Show life safety plan with furthest distance of travel from the mezzanine level. (FBC [F] 1001.4). Sheet S0.1 has been updated. — 7—Please- provide Energy Calculations and Manual J with duct layout for new air conditioning per section C103.2 of the FBC Energy Conservation. Energy Calculations and Duct Layout are provided. 8. Please provide documentation for fire protection systems per section 1012.2 of the Florida Building Code, Existing. Permit records indicate this is a change of occupancy with the addition of the H-5 Classification. See Code Analysis on S0.2, no fire protection systems are needed.
