General Structural Notes 1. Design loads in accordance with FBC 2001 Chap.16. 2. Fill under all slabs shall be clean sand and shall be compacted to a min. of 95% maximum density as per ASTM D-1557. Allowable soil bearing pressure shall be 2000 psf or better. Contractor shall verify these measures. Fill under the building shall receive pre -construction soil treatment by the owner for protection against termites. Soil shall be free from any expansive and collapsing materials. 3. All structural concrete shall have minimum compressive strength of 3000 PSI at 28 days. 4. Slab/ Footings to be concrete with minimum 2500 PSI compressive strength at 28 days . See plans for size and steel requirements. 5. Minimum concrete protection for reinforcing bars: Footings: 3" Beams: 1-1/2" Suspended Slabs: 1" 6.
