NOTE: ADHESIVE AND HARDENER MUST BE THOROUGHLY MIXED BEFORE ADDING THE FILLER. AFTER CLEANING ALL SANDED SURFACES WITH THE CLEANER SUPPLIED IN THE ADHESIVE KIT, APPLY A THICK COATING (1/16" MINIMUM) OF ADHESIVE TO THE SOCKET (BELL) AREA OF THE FITTING. LIBERALLY COAT THE TABS (FLAT BONDING SURFACES) OF BOTH HALVES OF THE FITTINGS WITH ADHESIVE (1/16" MINIMUM THICKNESS). NEXT, APPLY A THICK COATING (1/16" MINIMUM) OF ADHESIVE TO THE SANDED SURFACES OF THE PIPE ENDS. CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN NOT TO DISTURB A COMPLETED CONTAINMENT PIPING JOINT WHEN ASSEMBLING ADDITIONAL JOINTS. THE ADHESIVE MUST BE FULLY CURED BEFORE APPLYING STRESS TO ASSEMBLED JOINTS. PRECAUTIONS: 1. AVOID CONTACT WITH THE ADHESIVE AND HARDENER SINCE THEY ARE CAPABLE OF CAUSING SKIN AND EYE IRRITATIONS. GLOVES AND EYE PROTECTION ARE SUGGESTED. IF CONTACT IS MADE, FLUSH WITH WATER AND WASH WITH SOAP AND WATER. ALTHOUGH THE HARDENER IS ONLY MILDLY TOXIC, AVOID INHALING FUMES BY WORKING IN WELL VENTILATED AREA. 2. IF THE TEST PIPING IS TO BE INSTALLED TEMPORARILY, USE CARE NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN WHEN INSTALLING THE PIPE THREADS. FIBERGLASS THREADS MAY BE DAMAGED DURING REMOVAL IF OVERTIGHTENED. PIPING MANUFACTURERS RECOMMENDED TESTING 3"-6" SECONDARY CONTAINMENT PIPING SYSTEMS WITH AIR AT PRESSURES UP TO 10 PSIG.
